Please consider doing a video for exterior paint colors for different colored brick homes. Such as light brick with a bit of natural red, almond gutters, trying to figure out what to paint the fascia, small amount of wood siding, and garage door. Me too. I have seen that type of darker blue used with a more pure white trim and adding a bright yellow door really makes it pop! The other shades from the other houses are too muddy for me. Or too dark. Maybe in a cooler Northern climate. Otherwise the dark shades will really absorb the heat and make it harder to cool your house. My house is bright and cheery. Cloudberry Blue by Behr and White Frost trim by Behr. The White Frost is a beautiful white to use with blues. I forgot... The picture I have is the color... I was showing the picture of the garage door to somebody. I go bold or go home. 🤣

@Freestyle // I agree. They'd work on Northern homes, but I live in the Texas Hill Country, so it would get too hot. Your colors sound gorgeous. I do have a black front door (Tri-Corn) Black, but I have a large front covered deck and wanted to match my shutters, so thats why that happened, but I was wondering if I could paint the Gable part of the home like the blue of that house. I need a pop of color, and yes, I have dark blue outdoor furniture on my front deck, so I'm hoping it's a yes.

@@Donna-vh5ym Sounds nice! A contrasting dark blue with a lighter blue(or taupe)would work. In the Behr colors I am thinking of painting my door Poppyseed Black--a nice dark bluish black. Peppercorn Black is also supposed to go well with lighter blue. Yes this color is very pretty and it makes me smile when I look at it. Others in my neighborhood have copied it.. (no HOA's)Dark purple flowers and other vivid colors of flowers look beautiful against it as the color is like the sky. So I hang baskets of colorful flowers with dark purple trailing lobelia and it looks gorgeous! And if you have dark blue, gray, or white patio furniture(or heck multi-color) it goes well with it. Bonus. You don't have to paint your garage door if it is white. Before this color I had more of a medium sage green with a dark forest green trim and upper trim in brick red contrasting trim. I may paint sage green next time with a putty colored trim with a dark burnt orange(reminds me of our Northern Fall sunsets)upper contrasting trim. It is the artist in me... I love colors of nature. Don't forget you can look at any color including colors from the past Cloudberry was from a number of years ago. Right now white and black trim are popular, but boring... My roof is a medium variegated shade of grey with darker shingles mixed in so the blue shades work well. Take your roof color into consideration too... 😉 Behr's Frost is a cool crisp white.

From childhood, I had always longed to be in that environment. Due to health reasons I had to return to the South Central US aka Dixie. Although all regions hold their own values of appeal, the Standards and "Values" are the very subjects that seemed to be my resistance to the area, having been relocated as a child from Chicago, to Dad's home area, NW Tennessee. These are some great pairings, but I find myself thinking a lot about surfaces outside that aren't getting changed in most cases. Like the roof. And brick/stone accents. I found a color scheme that I loved would look like crap next to my roof and my existing stone. It seems this conflict comes into play if the roof and/or stone/brick is more brown in color...but you want a more grey/white color scheme.

hey, can you do a specific video for homes in metro cities where it covered by houses on all sides, meaning a very little sun and trees/shade. What colors would you recommend for this environment? Field colors should compliment roof shades. Trim should always be lighter than field colors.

All my neighbors have been painting their red brick houses with beautiful neutral colors because they're sick and tired of the red brick, myself included. I'm in love with my home now, the red is just too dark and old looking.

Never buy Sherwin Williams paint, you will get cheated. I bought SW Dark room colour. It looked totally different colour than my sample color of dark room. When I took it to the SW store in Sebring Fl, the manager said it is becouse I bought the glossy, then he said it is the fault of Rain Refresh product of Sherwin Williams. the sample looked more blackish in colour, but the 5 gallon paint looked really ugly when I painted on the trim and garage, it had more majanta than sample color. I will never buy again Sherwin Williams Paint. I had realy bad experience.
