Totally agree about the Helionox chair! Incredibly comfortable and you can actually put a pillow in the pocket of the headrest for added comfort. An optional accessory is a mat that attaches to the feet so you wont sink in the sand.
@OXFOOT14 күн бұрын
Oh man I need to get that mat lol, I didn’t even know about that. I haven’t sunk in yet but I’m sure when the snow gets the ground all wet I may need that.
@OXFOOT14 күн бұрын
Also need to actually try the pillow in that headrest pocket as well.

Good video. You’re always a good source for reasonable, (sometimes a little on the expensive side) gear choices.
@OXFOOTАй бұрын
I’m going to try to do my best in the future to point out the basics along with the expensive stuff. I tried it in this video and we will see if people like that.

Sick video, I would say out of all the things you listed the devos has been the biggest game changer, people are always asking about it and I’ve personally bought 5 at this point for myself and as gifts. The camp chef stove looked awesome, super beefy and well made might have to get one once my Coleman goes out finally.
@OXFOOTАй бұрын
I just got my 3rd this week. I just got a new house and the basement had bad lighting so before we put lights in that was my main form of lighting. I have one set up outside on our porch as well. Love the light ranger.

I just bought the Devos 1200 light a few weeks ago. Can't wait to take it out!

I've had both the Helinox chairs (sundowner i think) and the table for years. Great for camping and tailgating for football games and kids games. There's also a clip on cup holder for them now as well.

Just a heads up. Amazon has the Zonli heated blanket for $313, but the actual company has it on sale for $169.99.

Yeah the other three videos in this series will do that was well. I find myself sometimes buying the cheap thing and sometimes going more expensive, I think that’s most people also. Mostly the cheaper options but occasionally there’s something you just gotta have and that’s cool too. No way I would bring all of this every single time I camp.
@bruceknirs9987Ай бұрын
@OXFOOT Yeah, I find myself doing most of my campaign gear and 4x4 mods from place like tsc and Walmart. That's why I love the videos you did and do that Involve place like that

@OXFOOTАй бұрын
Well if it makes you feel any better I will bring the basic stuff every time, I probably won’t bring all the expensive stuff unless I’m going for a week. The “next level” things I use every time are the chair and table combo, the Devos light ranger, the heated blanket, probably the Boxio, the grill… and if I’m going for a multi day camp then I’ll take the other stuff.
@OXFOOTАй бұрын
Vans are awesome, almost bought one a few years back

@@OXFOOT I have a lot of things I take out every time I go (generally for 4-7 days when I can get away). Shorter trips are too much work and end up being an energy suck on my already low reserves, unfortunately. I bought the Devos 1200 a few weeks ago and have been eyeballing the Helinox chair and table for years. Maybe I can make them my Christmas present to myself this year. 🙃 See? Gear collector!

I know about the Camp Chef Mountianeer but I bought an Everest (older version, the 2X wasn't made yet) because I wanted a smaller unit, Works great and the BTU ouput is the same. I bought the newer Everest 2X recently but it's a little larger so it's going to be a home back up. I also have their Big Gas Grill which is a 3 burner and has a removable BBQ box that covers 2 burners and I have the 2 burner Explorer. (yes, I understand I have an addiction) On all the stoves, if you're not carefull, you will burn what your cooking! Found out the hard way.

Some interesting stuff but I think I’ll need a trailer to haul it all around if I got it all and some extra cash too.
@OXFOOTАй бұрын
Yeah I should have prefaced this with “I don’t always bring all of this stuff with me” stuff like the shower, toilet and stuff like that would only be a two or more night camp. Chairs are always coming with me, Devos, camp chef, heated blanket and hand wipes are always coming as well.
@jhbryanivАй бұрын
Have you run any of the cook partner stove stuff? I love how rugged those stoves look/are... Eventually my ol' Coleman 2 burner is gonna stop working. 😂
@OXFOOTАй бұрын
I’ve had that in my sights but there’s so many to test out there. I might give it a closer look. I will say I still used my dad’s old Coleman from the 70s up until about 5 years ago but things aren’t always made like they used to be.
@jhbryanivАй бұрын
@@OXFOOT my dad still uses his green Coleman that uses liquid fuel and uses a leather ring to seal the fuel lines. 😂 My Coleman is only ~8 years old and I think the burners need to be replaced already :-(
@ArtemMelanichАй бұрын
I have that chair from Aliexpress and similar table. It's really light.. to the point that I wouldn't use it if I'm on a car as It's not that rugged, especially for American sizes, not as comfy as bigger ones also. But If you care about space or need a backup or careful while solo then it's a great option.
@OXFOOTАй бұрын
Sure I could see that. I’m around 185lbs so I’m probably on the lighter side for an American. I do think they are nice but maybe not for let’s say Americans of girth.
@That_Paul_GuyАй бұрын
I’m trying to decide on a camp cooking system. Have you ever used a griddle at camp (either a dedicated griddle or using a griddle on a stove like you showed here)?
@OXFOOTАй бұрын
Unused to own a griddle and I liked it but I found it a bit bulky and it rattled a lot offroad when had my 4Runner. Now that I have that separation with the cab and the truck bed I might be willing to do it again. I had a 17” blackstone before.

Love the Devos lights. Have a pair of em when on sale. But the company does have some quality control issues and can inprove on communication.
