I once made a comment that they should have all the voice winners meet from all the different countries to find the voice of the world. But that was a shallow moment. When it comes right down to it, I find I love the auditions the best any way. Once the coaches get them live it's just not the same. And of course there is "Pure" that brings them all together here--but no way I could ever pick a winner, only sometimes 1 or two favorites.

I agree. The passion and emotion of the auditions is never duplicated once the judges get hold of them.

Two judges didn't turn around for Valerie Carpentier's take on "Cry Me a River"???? Absurd. They should be removed. They support easy-listening, bland, melismatic, nasal pop, and are simply unwilling to support a clearly superior singer singing a more sophisticated, more difficult song.

I like watching this tv show. Mostly i only watch blind audition's. But GEH i hate how the camera rarely films the actual singer and instead films nonesence, or people talking. I could care less about what they talk about, and i think it straight out rude when the judges talks, sings, does something silly in the chair and so on. And lastly the audiance at times way to loaud aswell :(

It differs between the various shows but early on on the US edition they never showed the singer until at least one coach had turned. This was intentional as it was all about the performance and the TV audience didn't see the singer until the coaches did. Seeing the coaches reactions are really the point of the blind auditions rather than seeing the Singer, (hearing the singer is imperative I agree and talking too loud or singing along annoys me as well). Regarding the "friends and family" segments yes they interrupt the song which I also find annoying but seeing the reactions of the people close to the singer can be fun (like when they tackled the host).
