There had long been resistance to putting major sports teams in Vegas due to it being the gambling capital of the world. However, after the NHL crossed the picket line and put a team there, I believe that has opened the floodgates. My prediction is that Vegas will have a team from every major sports league (with the possible exception of the fairly static MLB) within 10 years, if not sooner.

It’s only a matter of time but as a Kings fan I really hated how much Seattle tried to take our team as if Sacramento doesn’t deserve one as well. We’ve kept up attendance for a subpar product and we aren’t even the smallest metro with an nba team or even the 5th smallest. I’d be perfectly happy if Seattle never got another team. You most likely will in a few years but I wish you wouldn’t.

I have no argument here. Well thought out. I would also like to include a mid season play tourney that rivals the finals. Or… how about instead of East vs West All Star Games… take the best from each division and have the division tournament. This would open up the amount of all stars voted in. It would be more competitive and we’d get to see certain combos that normally rival each other four times a year.

Now, so many players have multiple income sources (shoe deals, clothing, game streaming, social media influencing, etc) that just making the league doesn't carry the same weight as it once did. And with NIL, it's not even necessary to make the league anymore.

Vegas should try to get the Clippers from Los Angeles because there's no reason for them to keep on sharing an Arena with the Lakers. Baltimore unlikely since it's too close to DC. San Diego sounds good. Not sure about local interest though. Cincinnati could work, and for my own selfish reasons I'd like to see either them or Louisville get a team, but don't know if it will happen. St. Louis has a weird deal that probably means they'll never get an NBA team again. When the old ABA was absorbeded into the league, the StL Spirits folded, since the NBA didn't regard it as a significant enough market to keep. But the ownership group got a honeynof a deal where they get paid a share in perpetuity even if there's no team.

Given Cincinnati's size (not small, but not huge either) I think they're already too saturated for the NBA - between the Bengals, the Reds, THE Ohio State University, even the hometown Bearcats, who where just in the college football playoffs, struggle to maintain fan support in their own city. If they were to put a team in that part of the country (which they won't - it's going to be Seattle and Vegas), then it'll most likely be Louisville. It's a little smaller, but far less crowded.

Like to see both Las Vegas Nevada and Nashville Tennessee to get all Big 4 Professional Sports within 10 years. Nashville already have the Predators for the NHL in 2008 and they have the Titans for the NFL in early 2000s, and seeking for both MLB and NBA teams in the near future. Definitely Seattle and Las Vegas should get NBA teams. Why? Seattle has a rich history in the NBA not only because of the Sonics but also they should have never had the Sonics taken away from them in the first place when they moved them to OKC and they became the Thunder. They deserve a second chance at an NBA team. Plus they have the Seattle Kraken (NHL). Why Vegas? If another nba team goes to Ohio I think Columbus would be the city to get it. They already have an nhl arena they can split with the blue jackets which is what pretty much all cities do when they have a nba and nhl team in the same city, It’s the biggest city in Ohio, it’s the only city in Ohio that’s actually growing significantly while Cleveland and Cincinnati are pretty much neutral(people from Cleveland and cincy are literally leaving to go to Columbus) and it lacks a mlb nba or nfl team even tho it has nhl and mls. I just couldn’t see cincy supporting another pro sports team since they’re metro areas the same size as Columbus and Cincinnati already has nfl, mlb, and mls in the city Columbus would make more sense plus Cincinnati doesn’t have any nba ready arenas when Columbus already has an nhl arena already so they won’t even need to build one

if your doing it in any order okay but if your going from least to most the number 1 would be Montreal with no question. You'd add Seattle with it but there are 275 million individuals who speak French as a first language and probably many more that speak it as an alternate language; a number of them may not speak English so Montreal should be the first team with Seattle. Then Las Vegas and I'd say Kansas City if it could be made to work but if not Cincinnati or Louisville with Kansas City and another city for 5-6 expansion!

Not saying that Tampa-St.Petersburg needs a Team since Orlando is relatively nearby and Florida also has the Heat, but the Tampa-St.Petersburg-Clearwater Metro is the 17th largest in the US (3,2 Million - bigger than the Denver; San Antonio; Baltimore; Charlotte and Portland Metro's), -growing at a fast pace on track to overtake San Diego in the next 3 years. They already have 3 sports teams though which is quite some competition with the Buccanears and the TB Lightnings, but Tampa Bay Buckets sounds good imo.

NBA in Pittsburgh would do great. It's just bad business by the NBA not to put a team there.. new arena and lots of hoop fans. Not to mention that black and gold on a hoop squad would be hard... How could Seattle and Vancouver be ahead of Pittsburgh, NBA already had failed in both of those places. Give up and put a team in the burgh

I would take out San Jose and instead have San Diego. In addition, you could have added more cities. These could have been Tampa at Amalie Arena, St. Louis at Enterprise Center, Ottawa at Canadian Tire Center, Montreal at Centre Bell, Jacksonville at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, Hartford at XL Center, Birmingham at Legacy Arena, Baltimore at CFG Bank Arena, among others!

The NBA needs a team in Missouri as the other 3 big leagues are represented and so is the MLS..but it should be STL instead of KC. Has a bigger population, Has shown to support 3 teams before, and basketball has been big in St Louis before

London- Would be a larger city than any with current NBA franchises which therefore gives it a larger maximum audience (London population is 9.5 Million, whereas NYC the largest in America has about 7.8 Million) It also has a rapidly expanding basketball scene and has many quality arenas ready to host NBA games such as the O2 Arena or the Wembley Arena. Paris- 2.1 million residents places it favourably against most US cities it also has a large Basketball culture as made evident by Wemby this year. Manchester- City of over 3 Million residents making it slightly larger than Toronto and Chicago has a massive sport scene with a loyal fan base as made evident by Man Utd and Man City in football (soccer) two of the largest and best teams in the world, also has good arenas such as the Manchester arena and Co-op arena
