The Maglev train was developed and built in Germany. China purchased the system in Germany, where it was originally called TransRapid

Not one of these trains are from the socalled mighty United States. You know, the country that walked around on the moon! The United States of America should of had bullet train technology decades ago!! Don't say it's due to cost because it's not. Remember all the money the United States government gave away in stimulus packages during the pandemic? The cost for that was over 7 trillion dollars! And they can't spend 500 billion dollars to build a highspeed bullet line from Boston Massachusetts to Jacksonville Florida stopping in one city in each state it travels through ? You could move millions of americans up and down the entire United States Eastern seaboard with great comfort and at speeds of up to 200 to 225 plus mph! This would improve infrastructure and economic growth. The ability to board in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and be in New York city in 30 minutes, go to work and still be home in time for supper. But unfortunately stupidity, ignorance and blindness keeps the mighty United States of America from ever advancing. The american people don't even see the benefits of these modern marvels of transportation so they rather criticise the technology which is also, (fully electric). For some strainge reason, the American people rather sit in traffic and deal with congestion. Thousands and thousands of americans sit stranded at airports due to cancellations and delays during the holidays and travel seasons year after year!!! Hats off to the far more advanced countries of the far east and Europe and their technical achievements. But also hats off to the state of California who stood up to be the first in all of the United States of America to take on the challenges of the highspeed bullet train endeavor. May you succeed in being the first state in highspeed bullet train technology. Highspeed bullet trains and maglev super train technology, the new american dream....

That is not operating speed, so it doesn't count! If you just talk about experimenting speed, then China had train running at 620km/h in experiment, which is faster than the France's TGV.
