The Grand Canyon is one of the worlds greatest wonders. Everyone should at some point during their life visit and see the breathtaking views. Here are a few of the best viewpoints.

The best way to view all of the Grand Canyon (South Rim) view points is to split it up into 2 days.
On one day you can drive your car in the park on the east side of the Grand Canyon down Desert View Drive. There are 6 developed canyon viewpoints, 4 picnic areas and 5 unmarked pullouts. Every single stop is amazing and offers something different.
On the other day you will need to take the free bus service. From the Grand Canyon Visitor Center you will take the Blue Bus to the Hermits Rest Route Transfer. From there you take the Red Bus which stops at 9 incredible viewpoints. During the day the bus comes every 10-15 minutes. Feel free to take your time at each viewpoint and really enjoy each incredible view. If you don't want to wait for the bus at each stop, there is the rim trail path you can walk that will take you to each of the Grand Canyon viewpoints.

I cried...it was always a dream,and when the bus turned round the corner it just opened up! They had just built the Skywalk, maybe 12 years ago so went out on that. I would’ve stayed there all day,but had to follow the itinerary and Vegas beckoned! So on my first trip to the states I got both of them and also Niagara and my first hockey game (redwings) and first baseball game (tigers) ....needless to say I’ve been back everyear ...

You are so right. We went to the South Rim as an excursion from Las Vegas and I thought I was going to do a Chevy Chase and simply nod my head and quickly knock it off my to do list. However, when we got there I was blown away. Could not believe how magnificent the Grand Canyon is. I now understand why it is one of the seven wonders of the world. 👍👍👍👍👍

We visited the North Rim in July 2017. Are these view points just from the South Rim? I would suggest a few more. Widforss Point, for instance is a beautiful and secluded one. Thank you for sharing these! You can see our treks on our site, if you are interested. Keep on trekking!

What time di you take these or was it over the length of the daylight hours. Going in early Spring 2021 and looking for the best time to get the colors of the cliffs/landscapes. Thanks.

These clips were shot at many different times of day. My favorite time to view the canyon was about 90 minutes before sunset. The canyon glows and the colors looks amazing. I can't wait to go back. Thanks for watching and enjoy your trip!

Hermit Road is only accessible by bus most of the year. So that would be your only option for the viewpoints along that road. You can drive your car to the viewpoints along Desert View Drive. The bus doesn't stop at all the viewpoints on that road so I recommend driving to those. Thanks for watching!

Visit Bryce Canyon in Utah instead of the Grand Canyon. Rock formations and color are more unique at Bryce Canyon. I visited Grand Canyon in Dec 2018 for the second time in about 20 years. Beautiful but it didn't leave that much impression as much as Bryce.
