Kid Icarus: Uprising is one of my favorite games ever. There is so much to love in this game, but today, I will be discussing what I personally think are the top ranked weapons in the game.

Watching this in October 2018 and I'm getting super nostalgic... This was I believe the best 3DS game and deserved more attention. It definitely needs a sequel on the switch. Also I really agree with your list. Very good points

I wouldn't mind a remake of the first game (with Of Myths and Monsters being a bonus side story) that gives it 3D graphics and advancements to the gameplay that bring it somewhat closer to Uprising without usurping the 2D gameplay it's well known for. And if that were bundled with a remake of Uprising as well for the Switch, that would be heaven!

Never been a fan of Palms myself. I never used them much, mostly because I don't care for their designs. Claws are my favorites, specifically the Beam and Wolf Claws.

the way I think of the concept of palms, is that the palm and the wilder act as one, with the palm amplifying the wielder's fighting spirit and turning it into energy blasts. AND PALMS 4 LYFE!!!!

Dude I just had a major nostalgia trip with my old best friend talking about how we used to play this all the time as kids his weapon of choice was the cannon and mine was the claws which made really unique combat when playing against each other.

I tried KIU for the first time last year and thought it was way too difficult, BUT I came to the realization that I probly shouldn't have kept putting my intensity level around 7.0 on my very first playthrough lol. Planning to give it another shot soon, so I'm really glad to have this guide :)

There's a self-injury attribute that can end up on weapons with high stars or other attributes. While I haven't noticed any trend, it's possible it's more common in cannons than other weapons.

Honestly, the staff is my favorite weapon class. I really love long range weapons in shooters, but I agree that the speed is a problem. But it's not as bad as clubs or some cannons (and I definitely don't have speed modifiers on every staff I have). The Scorpio staff strikes a good balance, it doesn't slow you down as much and it has pretty good range, if not less than other staffs, plus its poison helps with its slow charge time.

I know i'm late to the discution but... My top 9: 9- Arm (I never use one and I think I ever will) 8- Club (I don't like to be slow) 7- Cannon (You may guess that I don't like heavy weapons) 6- Staff (And be slow) 5- Orbitals (Not my favorite, nor my worst) 4- Blade (Good weapon, but i feel that it's power isnt that much, at least for the rapid fire) 3- Claws (Now this is speed, perfect for long levels) 2- Bow (I mean... It's the original gear for Pit! And the Phosphora Bow!) 1- Palm (With my personal favorite, and most powerful weapon in my whole game, the Aurum Palm!)

technically speaking Clubs have the weapon with the single longest range in the game: the Earthmaul Club, though they also house the Magnus Club which has the shortest range in the game

I think the idea is you're meant to have really great aim yourself, rather than the game doing it for you.

Staff: I'm a staff user in story mode. It's useful for keeping distance to dodge enemy fire. I would move slowly just to trigger enemy spawn, move back, then fire away, especially with fwd-charge attack. Orbital: I never enjoy this weapon set Cannon: too short range for me to be honest, and some charge attacks are gimmicky. Bows: My only complaint is the dash-melee attack, which doesn't stagger enemies and takes too long to recover from it. Blade: not bad at all of a weapon. Club: Fun weapon, especially if the charge shot can go through wall arm: never really use this weapon set. Claw: artillery claw is the best. Enough walking speed to strafe, yet devastating range attack. Palm: pretty cool weapon.

I really like palms and claws, too. The claws are really fun to mess with opponents in multiplayer and my favorite ones are a tie between the hedgehog claws (which, BTW, I can't decide on whether they're a nod to sonic or not) and the beam claws. As for palms, I like how versatile they are and the midnight palm was the one weapon I could defeat Hades' heart with while not taking too much damage. My favorite palms are the burning, violet and great reaper palms.

When he mentioned Palms having the best homing... there is one exception... and it's my favorite weapon. The Aurum Palm! Sacrificing homing ENTIRELY, this palm makes up for it with rapid fire continuous shots and MASSIVE charged shots (That has a recharge time comparable to the Magnus Club, FAST) that reward precise aim with a high damage out put.

I like the staffs as well! I agree the stamina and running speed is very slow and runs out very quickly, but the range is useful and great for sniping. Laser staff is my favourite

What was perhaps my favorite weapon for the multiplayer was a +4 Speed, +3 Evasion, +4 Stamina, +2 Homing Magnus Club that had enough ranged stars and charged shot bonus to score OHKs against anyone who wasn’t running any sort of defense or HP modifiers. What made it so fun was that the standard response of most any player when they see a Magnus Club running straight for them is to prepare the reflect barrier for when the dash charged shot animation begins… the trouble for them was that between its latent homing ability and the bonus, I could flick the reticle to the side to arc the shot around the edge of the barrier and still hit the player that used it. As the only club that grants a speed bonus by default, the bonus speed stat made me a very fast combatant and the stamina allowed me to run for minutes at a time without tiredlessness active, letting me keep it in reserve for moments when I absolutely have to dodge spam for extended periods… usually when I run into the middle of the enemy team to get their attention and burn a lot of their powers at the start of a match. I wish I hadn’t lost that cartridge.

The original cut is the exact same as this upload....except there were audio problems, and I didn't like it. The one that crushed Lemongrab was Shoutmon from Digimon Fusion/Xros Wars.

If you know how to use the staff, it is really powerful. I used to be an insight staff main, but the flintlock is crazzyyyy. At max range it does over 500 damage

Palm are awesome I admit I do use them alot in Single player but in MP I tend to use my Perfectly crafted beam claws 5 star in melee 4 1/2 star in range +3 in melee combo +4 in freezing -2 in side dash shot. Value at 290. powers I use with this weapon are bumblebee for the flanking one of the heal (the one were you must take lethal damage to heal (great against angels) and the Stone attack debuff. Because the debuff order is Stone > Ice. this make so when I start attacking if you ever get turn to stone or freeze by me you will take alot of damage. In some light vs Dark matches I tend to have all my power active to get close to the angel so I can debuff him with stone or freezing once I do you will be surprise on how fast the angel health drops.

I think the laser staff is the best. Even though it doesn't do as much damage as the flintlock staff from a cross-map snipe, it exceeds in closer-range combat as well. If a claw user gives me a hard time, I do a backward dash charge shot and show them what I'm made of.

I generally agree with your reasons for liking and disliking weapons. Here's some points for weapons in the pvp "together" mode, specifically Light vs Dark: *Staff's long range is VERY dangerous if you can hit your targets. Basically infinite full-map pressure. *In together mode, the guardian Orbitars are very team-centered and are surprisingly OP in the right hands! *Claws are useful to rush down people. I like using a Spite build to kamikazi their angel. *Clubs are slow, thicc, but also hit like a bus going 200 in a school zone. They also provide surprisingly great surviviability w continuous fire. *Cannons can multi-kill given the chance.

I can understand where you're coming from when it comes to staffs (staves?). I used to feel the same way. Then I stumbled onto a rose staff with 6 stars. My friend, you don't need to be fast when you can ohko things from 150 yards + away as a STANDING shot. You just need to be accurate. It's hard, but I've found the laser, orb, rose, and flintlock staff to be beautiful.

Staff is for sniping, orbitars are for shielding, bows and blades are basic with bows more on range and blades more on melee, Cannon is focused on charge shots with weak normals, arms are focused on melee but do pretty average long range, palm has insane main fire, clubs are… clubs, claws are swift and just really good.

I feel like my favorites change around every replay of the game because every new run seems to give me preferential weapon treatment. first time around it was claws, second time was cannons, and third time was palms and bows. If I had to list favorite weapon type followed by favorite in that category... it'd look like this 9). Orbitars: I would occasionally get a good pair but.... I feel that they either lack omph or fire rate. favorite in this would probably be.... fairy pair because they tend to carry confusion. 8). Arms: A jack of all trades, tend to have powerful rounds but barely hit midrange. arms are at least fun to use unless it's a crusher or end all arm. then it's heckin fun! 7). Blades: pretty balanced overall but due to that few stick out in noticeable ways. gotta go with the crusader's blade for it's deceptive strength or the bullet blade for it's solid midrange. 6). Bows: up this high cause I at least got a few REALLY good ones and they're ALWAYS fun in the flying section. fave has to be the darkness bow for it's powerful shots and decent melee or the cupid bow because shenanigans. 5). Claws: probably my most consistent set of weapons but it's really here because of select weapon types above it beating out my enjoyment. brawler claws are always fun to race around in and for speedrunning a level or Alterliery claws for range firepower with laser claws as a guilty pleasure. 4). Staffs: my literal 50/50 guilty pleasure. if you want good close up go with the lancer, for full snipe shenanigans go flintlock, for a bit of both go laser staff for consistency. you'll likely be slow as all heck and close up is a nightmare (unless you have the lancer staff) 3). Clubs: excelent in air battles, haha big stick go whoosh, crazy melee power and with a few speed buffs you'll mow the enemy like no tomorrow. Magnus club for max cheese and speed, Earthmaul for wallhacks, or atlas... or hewdraw... heck most of them are just fun. 2). Palms: these had really grown on me in both a lore sense and in gameplay. I've only found one disappointing and they tend to have the most bad/and/good buff ratio I've EVER seen. Viridi, cursed, ninja, Virgo, Aurum, just lots of good ones to pick. 1). Only found a few disapointing. very consistent, reliable big boom damage! also are excellent in the air with rapid fire and are decent on the ground, explosive shots, I get to attach a pirate cannon to my ARM THAT'S AWESOME!! Doom, Pirate cannon, Posiedon cannon, Twinbellos, Dynamo!? too many to pick.

# Type Favorite of type Comment 9 Cannon (Sonic Cannon) Good for ground stages in story mode, but that's about it. 8 Clubs (Aurum Club) 1 power: Invisible shots. That's all I have to say 7 Staff (Rose staff) Actually fairly good in both categories if you know how to use them. 6 Bow (Darkness bow) How many times have you been sniped by a Sagittarius bow in Multi-player. Just count. 5 Palm (Aurum palm) I like fast shots if you can't tell by a couple of these (Aurum club, aurum palm, darkness bow, ect. 4 Arms (Electroshock) These things back dash attacks. They are so fun to use. 3 Blade (Aurum blade) I apparently really like the aurum. 2 Claws (Viridi claws) My viridi claws in a nutshell. +4 melee combo +6 full health boost. They're fun to use. 1 Orbitars (Aurum orbitars) They're fast, homing, and deal a ton of damage, no need to melee when they're already dead from a double hit.

I am a huge fan of palms! I have a very powerful Flame Palm.

Damn I was expecting claws to be 1, but palms is my second. Bows would be third just because of the silver bow. That thing shred air battles like crazy, is has amazing homing.

I am a fan of the balanced weapons like blade and bow because I want a weapon where I can change my attacks based on the situation and my weapon of choice for story is the Palutena Bow

on my brawler claws, I has +4 speed, and I accidentally got some speed boots. I died by jumping off the edge in the windy room in chapter 19
