Girls, I had a girlfriend in the Philippines. One of my trips I threw a 9th birthday party for her daughter. I rented a karaoke machine for the party and the entire family took turns and all sang like professionals!! They did the same thing, passed the mic on the same song and it blew my mind!! Growing up as a Filipino, it's kinda impossible for a 10 year old filipino kid to don't try karaoke even once cause every one of us specially in celebrations, there must be a karaoke or if there's not , we still sing without a microphone and jam with the guitar. That's who we are, that's how we live, that's how much we love music

Leveling up - singing the song toping every note smoothly and perfectly.. 4.) Doble kara - singing duet songs of a male and female.. with your own voice.. 5.) Tagalizing - singing foreign songs with a tagalog lyrics.. Note: we dont have singing classes in schools, all is learned naturaly, by hearing music everyday, on radio, youtube , in the internet.. and most specially singing in karaokes.. ❤️

I remember what Bubs once said on one of their reaction with the same theme, that those who can't sing are successful while those who really can were not given a chance at least. Well, that's the problem here in this country. The Philippine showbusiness is not for entertainment anymore, and the saddest part is, most of Filipinos are supporting those who does not have a talent at all just as long as they posses a face with a market value. People nowadays are paying for what they see, not for what they have been entertained for.

I say keep doing what you’re doing. By the way, I do hope that you get to go to the Philippines - meet the people and hopefully meet the stars and the artists and performers you’ve reacted too including your crush (*cough* Michael *cough*), enjoy the beaches and visit beautiful places, eat some delicious food, and YES, KARAOKE - join the karaoke line. Now you know why the standard for singers set so high.. because almost everyone can sing. You should possessed something of a higher standard. Morisette can belt and whistle, Regine has those high notes, Lea has that perfec pitch, crystal clear voice, Kz although she can't belt can turn any song and own it, Sarah can sing and dance etc... You have to be special.
