Great video easy to understand. I think mine might need doing. Got a knock from the front but feels more on the anti roll bar. So going to change those bushes first as they look pretty poor. Will watch this again though before I attempt it

Can i get the lower ball joint out without removing the whole spindle?
@dewaldgrobler89185 жыл бұрын
Is it better to replace the ball joints with oem parts, especially the lower ball joint?? I have read on the internet people say the aftermarket ones doesn’t last long. I am planning on replacing my top and bottom ball joints, wheel bearings and might want to do the rack ends whilst at it. I am no mechanic, but your video will help a lot. Regards from SA!

Dewald Grobler, Thanks for watching👍 These are aftermarket and still good but i haven't really had them in long enough to judge.

@@outnabout08 Hang in there mate! I also have a 4JJ1 07 Rodeo 4x4 and she's going to tick over 300k this week. I've been contemplating whether to update and several mechanics have told me to spend a little bit on maintenance and hold on to her. The newer equivalent replacement vehicles are nowhere near as good! (according to them). So I'm about to do front and rear shocks, rear springs, sway bar bushes and front upper ball joints. Thanks heaps for the helpful video!! Keep encouraging your kid mate. There's a desperate shortage of good mechanics and he seems dead keen!

Great video. I tried to do mine while ago but didn't realise hub has to come off. I see it's much easier with hubs off.👍
