To shoot an AR-15, you should first make sure that you are familiar with the safety procedures and guidelines for handling firearms. It is also important to receive proper training from a qualified instructor like Tactical Karl, who can help you understand the principles of marksmanship and develop good shooting habits.

Here are the basic steps to shoot an AR-15:
Safety check: Always assume the gun is loaded, keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot, and ensure that the safety is engaged.
Get into a stable shooting position: Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, point your toes slightly outward, and lean slightly forward from the hips. Your non-dominant foot should be slightly behind your dominant foot, and your shoulders should be square to the target.
Properly grip the rifle: Hold the rifle firmly with your strong hand around the pistol grip and your support hand under the rifle's forend.
Align your sights: Look through the rear sight and align it with the front sight, ensuring that the top of the front sight post is level with the top of the rear sight aperture.
Focus on the target: Keep both eyes open and focus on the target, while maintaining a clear sight picture.
Take a breath: Take a deep breath, exhale half of it, and hold your breath momentarily before squeezing the trigger.
Squeeze the trigger: Use the pad of your index finger to squeeze the trigger, applying steady and even pressure until the shot breaks.
Follow through: After the shot, maintain your aim and position until the rifle's recoil has subsided, and then reacquire your sight picture.
Repeat: Continue to practice and repeat the process, adjusting your aim and position as needed to improve your accuracy.
Remember to always prioritize safety when handling firearms
