Do they teach British English down there?
@faustodiegomaidana35985 жыл бұрын
Yes, RP. But here most teachers don't make distinctions between english accents, they can give you 'british' texts and american movies and so on
@jayhawks-jh6dp5 жыл бұрын
Her English has a bit of a british style accent. Are there very many teachers that are native English speakers there? My Spanish teacher is a native Spanish speaker, but I’m also American. The US is a nation of immigrants. Argentina, not so much.
@larajager78205 жыл бұрын
@@jayhawks-jh6dp 1) We learn british English, but as we consume a lot US media, sometimes we mix it up. 2)No, we don't have native english speakers here. Teachers have a quite good level though. 3) You make me laugh. Argentina is a nation of inmigrants too. We didn't get English speakers though, but instead spanish and italians (And a bit of frenchs and germans), and a lot of southamericans recently.
@jayhawks-jh6dp5 жыл бұрын
Lara Jäger That’s interesting. I’ve been learning Spanish for about 6 years and we don’t learn Spanish from one particular region. We learn Spanish de España, Mexico, el caribe, Sudamérica, etc. I’m at the point where I can recognize the different Spanish accents now which is cool. I’m not well versed in Argentinian history, but I’m just pointing out that the US has immigrants from todo el mundo. All of Asia, Europe, Africa, and tons of Latino immigrants. I wouldn’t expect many Americans to live in Argentina, while it’s definitely common for native Spanish speakers to live here. I am friends with about 5 native speakers from different places. It makes learning Spanish so much easier!
@jayhawks-jh6dp5 жыл бұрын
Lara Jäger I think it’s also really interesting that most Argentinians that I know speak good English, while people from other South American countries don’t so much

"Che" is a way to call sombody attention... it's like the "hey" in the US... and "hincha" might be that you were annoying sometimes... Here, when someone is annoying we say "Sos re hincha pelotas" or just a shorter form "hincha"
