Idk why Brax didn't mention that the best team is by FAR Luka + kafka + pela. Bringing kafka and pela means you have cyro and electro for superconduct. -50% physical res on top of pela defence shred will buff diluc's damage to the roof. Nothing will compare. Finish it off with of course bennet for the heal/atk% buff and you will dumpster any and all content gaurenteed.

Luka is really good but he is one of the highest investment 4 stars. Most 4-stars have two main traces you need to level, but Luka's kit is so interconnected that his three main traces are all very important. Yes, obviously there are some traces more important than others as with every character, but Luka in particular has significant scaling on Attack, Skill and Ult in his kit. Enhanced Basic scales with Basic trace level. Skill scales the Bleed. Ult scales the Damage Amp (really valuable as a subDPS support). Building my Luka right now is a real chore. I can go all-in on him being a support for Kafka by focusing on Skill and Ult, but his Enhanced Basic is a huge part of his personal DPS, especially since I got e6 Luka pulling for Kafka.

He's really good for skill poont economy. Just have bleed on main target and spam attack. My favorite comp so far is sampo, luka, kafka and tingyun. So much dmg going on I don't need to heal.

Should be noted that you can run a team like Kafka, Luka, Silver Wolf, sustain and that actually pumps out a *lot* of single target damage between Luka's bleeds, SW's debuffs, the potential for physical breaks, and both Kafka and Luka being able to retrigger both Luka bleeds and physical break bleeds. The only issue with the team is that the sustain slot is a little finicky since you really want matching types to give you odds on your SW weaknesses, so you either need Natasha (who is a little more finicky as a solo sustain), Bailu (who a lot of people may not have yet), or a quantum abundance/preservation unit coming in the near future~

I feel like the best way to use luka is with break effect sushang. Against physical bosses, you can proc the massive bleed from the break along with his skill bleed at the same time, resulting in a massive amount of dmg for a basic atk (around 30k in my experiences)

That's the sad thing. Vaporeon is one of my favorite Eeveelutions because at the time when I played through Gale of Darkness for the first time on GC. I didn't know a NPC gave you a stone to evolve your eevee. So I picked water since it was my favorite or preferred type. (it was around the time when I wasn't reading much while playing Pokemon games) So I didn't noticed till much later that I could give my eevee the water stone and that's where Vaporeon became my favorite. other than my other favorites would be, my favorite starter is Piplup/Empoleon, and my favorite Pseudo-legendary is Dragonite. But now it saddens me that Vaporeon became a meme and a inappropriate meme at that, the only thing left to say is. the internet will be the internet ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Also by the way, Great video Brax. you are one of the few youtubers I watch to obtain inspiration for Star Rail character builds/team comps.

So we don't run err rope because even with it Luka's damage doesn't really improve...I've seen that with ERR rope he can get his burst back every 4 turns instead of 5, so if I can get the 2 turn burst with Kafka, does err rope become better? Does it increase its uptime for Kafka to better utilize? Or the timing for Kafka's burst and Luka's vulnerability already matches without err and getting it wouldn't increase anything?

You can build him as a break unit though. And when you do land the break on him it's super satisfying because he does A LOT of damage. Reason most content creators don't mention this is because break luka is inconsistent compared to just focusing on attack stat and it requires a lot of resources if you dont already have the break effect substats for him. S5 Fermata BTW is his bis light cone if u decide to go for this build

so im confused with the graph if im reading the sidenote correctly the graph asummes someone like kafka/sampo is applying ensnare from the cone "Resolution shines as pearls of sweat" which makes the team part of of the of the graph pretty scuffed because its not showing how much would luka bring to the team if he was the one applying it and its his cone after all id love a graph to show that difference because i have it S2 and i cant tell if i use it or eyes S1

Luka and Herta works too but you gotta make Herta a support unit because she will be used to freeze enemies: Luka, Herta, Sampo/Serval/Himeko, Healer or can go with Yanqing/Sushang, Luka, Pela/Tingyun, Healer. Luka, Sampo, Pela, Healer is sort of usable too but if you are not using him in a Kafka/Serval, Luka, Sampo, Healer team I suggest using him with Sushang or Himeko + Herta I tried and not saying it's amazing but it certainly works perhaps Luka, Herta, Himeko, Healer is the only team so far focused purely on breaking enemy toughness as main source of damage we have so far

Well I got Kafka and Luka in the same 10 pull but it was 20 pulls into my summon session. I'm paying F2P and I still have ~6400 Jades but I don't wanna spend them cuz I wanna be able to get whatever the next character is but I also want Luka Eidolons.

I still use Vonwacq regardless if whether or not I have Kafka on his team, it just makes advancing everything so much better. I also run energy regen on the planar because having him ult back to back is very useful for boss fights where you might need multiple damage amps/debuffs active to shut down rushing enemies like Swarm.

I did a fair bit yeah, It's completely content dependent, for example if an enemy doesn't have lightning weakness, odds are break is a viable choice and competitive damage wise, but if there is lightning weakness, Kafka will do a lot of the breaking herself and you lose out on bleed and overall damage from Luka. It's tough to test but I wouldn't rule it out entirely, I just like the consistency of atk%

So I didn't do any hard number crunching or anything, but I was curious about a particular build and wonder what you think. The Rutilant Arena Ornament seems really interesting to me. To reach the 70% crit, you run Yukong with Luka. Yukong's Bowstring + Ultimate, you satisfy the ornament to get the 20% damage to both abilities that output the most damage for him, plus the atk% boost. It might just be me, but this sounds like having your cake and eating it too. Your build doesn't trade DoT damage because Yukong covers not going atk% body (you'd likely need crit% body to get close to 70% crit). So you'd end up with crit, DoT, and crit damage all at the same time. Seems like stupid damage.
