I started a visible plan several months ago and love it. It's not my primary phone service as I got it initially for the unlimited data hotspot. I had an issue with the 5 caps download at first but that was corrected after I got over my laziness and contacted visible support and they promptly fixed the issue, lol. So far I highly recommend it.

Great info...I'm looking at Cricket for data only for my part time travels. It doesn't look like their Moxee hot spot device has external antennae jacks. I can't find a definitive answer or list of supported devices. Do you know if the Nighthawk or other comparable devices with external antennae jacks are supported with the Cricket data only plans?

Thank God for grandfathered AT&T Unlimited Plus. I do wonder what they’ll do about 5G when the new iPhones are released. With so many customers having plans that don’t include 5G, will AT&T cave and allow us on older plans to add 5G or will they take the sales hit from those refusing to change plans for the new phones.
@MobileInternetResourceCenter4 жыл бұрын
That remains to be seen.

Great info. This all assumes you get signals where ever you’re located and in most state and Nat’l parks that’s not the case. I am looking for a more reasonable option to a $700 weboost purchase to improve the cell signal in the first place. Suggestions?

I have a Solidrf rv cell booster on our fifth wheel trailer and it is fantastic if you are on a fringe network. It really boosts the upload as well as download. A must if you rely on the internet. I also added a cradlepoint cell router that is boosted with the solidrf unit and it gives us wifi inside and outside our rig from our Verizon service.

Great information as usual, but I am surprised that you did not include Google Fi.

For high data needs - their pricing gets pretty high. Even their "unlimited" plan is capped at 22GB of high speed usage. They're a great smartphone plan, a flexible back-up option or international - but they don't meet the criteria for this video as a home internet replacement plan.

I really appreciate the info you are passing along. You seem to focus on the monthly amount of data that is allowed in the plan, but you never talk about the speed. My Verizon iphone can get 1 or 2 Gbps as a hotspot so I stick with my ATT DSL when at home. It gets up to 25 Gbps (what I pay for) but these days I am lucky to get half that. I've seen some references to 40 to 80 Gbps on some kind of cellulat hotspot. Is that a spoof?
@MobileInternetResourceCenter4 жыл бұрын
All plans presented here deliver the stated data amount at unthrottled speeds (unless otherwise noted: Visible / AT&T Business Broadband). Actual speeds delivered can be highly variably due to a number of factors (signal strength, tower congestion, your modem specs, etc.). For all the things that impact speed: www.rvmobileinternet.com/cellsignal You've also confused Gbps for Mbps (no LTE service can deliver Gbps speeds.)

Depends on your Verizon signal there, and if you're comfortable hotspotting off a phone for your needs. We focus on mobile here however, not home/residential use.

Cherie I have followed the Calyx offering for a while. I have even had the privilege to see applicable contract paragraphs with ClearWire/Sprint and their current supplier. It appears that Mobile Citizen is still processing non profit applications to offer low cost internet to NP's as long as their main purpose is NOT (edit) political or religious (limited exceptions). This being the case why do you think that other specifically RV related NP's (Escapees and FMCA) who offer advocacy for an under representative population who struggle to acquire and maintain affordable basic internet connectivity due to their community lifestyle do not afford themselves and their members of this service? Keep up the good work.
@MobileInternetResourceCenter4 жыл бұрын
The Escapees is a for-profit company, not non-profit. The FMCA already offers a Sprint based unlimited plan in this price point, and it's possible they are offering via this method or similar.
@markscott87674 жыл бұрын
@@MobileInternetResourceCenter Yes I reviewed my notes and only the Escapees C.A.R.E. is non profit.
