Impressive. The little guy is figuring it out, he'll have it down in a year and in 3 he'll be worth his weight in gold.

Sheep look Stressed-Out. What is the purpose of this? Does the dog Bite the sheep to keep-em together?
@junbh24 жыл бұрын
No. The sheep instinctively move if the dog moves too close or too quick, and turn if he's near their hind end. If the sheep are used to it and the dog is good at it it's not super stressful, plus it's only for a short time to move the sheep somewhere. In this case though it's a puppy practicing to learn.

@@junbh2 That good to know. As a city-guy, it just looks so Stressful and barbaric to endure . . . for the poor sheep. Stay Safe.

The dog shouldn’t nip or bite the sheep, that’s the manners of a cattle dog.

People, pls be aware. This pup is 9 weeks old... yeah right.. It has probably been trained since it was 3 weeks old. A 'six month old pup'... really. A pup that has been handled as a baby, can 'get down', respond, listen... This is a 9 week old pup, it ran like heck after those sheep... instnct.... and every few seconds looked back at the handler/camera for 'permission'. How gorgeous is that. There is no secret, it is always about handling... Cheers

Notice how the tail begins to tuck half way through the video. The more tucked the tail, the more professional the worker!
