Very outdated, the thought that T20 skills can only be developed by playing FC cricket. They're very different forms, requiring very different skill sets. MS Dhoni, one of the shrewdest cricketing brains, recognised that, and advised Pathirana to NOT play any FC cricket! Rugby has, for many years now, had many versions of the game, and no player plays more than one form. Cricket has to go that way, eventually, whether those caught in old times and old thoughts like it or not
