Norwegian and Dutch people being so good at speaking English is also a downside because most of them will switch to English unless you already speak their language at a high level. but its true those languages are very similar to English

As somebody learning Spanish, Spanish grammar is actually not as easy as people think. The way words are arranged with “le, se, la” etc are a bit confusing and much different than English. Yes, vocabulary and pronunciation are easy. But in my opinion grammar is tough.

As someone who used to not be able to speak English, what I actually learned along the way when learning this language, there's a pattern when using certain words. It can be predictable once you're exposed enough to the language. At least that's how I view it.

You should have included a 6th language: Portuguese. The grammar is more forgiving than Spanish. After you learn the few sounds in Portuguese that you're not used to then Portuguese is definitely easier than Spanish. Brazilian Portuguese is the easier pronunciation to learn.
@sheeliekittie92987 ай бұрын
Hi I love the sound of Portuguese! I actually worried the grammar is harder than Spanish because of the collocations, the unique way of adding lo/la, like muito prazer en conhece-lo / conhece-la? but I really really like this language.
