Question: do you think there is a difference between buying sim free iPhone from Apple vs. an iPhone that is unlocked and sim free using the Verizon link (also from the apple store)? One reason I ask this because the apple website says all the phones are unlocked. Also, because I just want to take my current SIM card (Verizon) from my iPhone X and put it into my iPhone 12 (if I order one) without having to start a 5G plan. I have an iPhone XS. I ordered the 12 pro and then returned it. If you upgrade to the pro you will enjoy the wide angle lens and bigger screen. In my opinion as for 5G it ain’t worth the battery drain. If you wait one more year you will really appreciate the more efficient 5G radio and a15 chip. Also the 120hz screen will really make it feel like a true upgrade. As for the design, most people will put a case on it so others won’t be able to tell this sort from the iPhone 11 Pro. The iPhone 12 pro feels like a 1st gen product so wait for the 12S/13 and save your money.

i was saving up for the 12 pro and then the 13s were announced and put up for sale, i still think i’m gonna go for the 12 pro because i don’t think there is that many benefits, i’m not one to film a video and post it somewhere expecting millions of views so missing out on a few camera features are fine by me, i also think the camera module on the 13 pro is a bit to big for the size of the phone of course there is the 13 max to solve this problem but then comes the added on expense and the 12 pro is already quite expensive. the smaller notch isn’t to much of an advantage for me as i’m currently still on a six, of course some people will go for the 13 and that’s fine even updating from a 12 to a 13 as it’s their choice, this is just my opinion and a 12 pro seems like a cheaper alternative than a 13 pro.

I think the 6gb of ram and MagSafe are big wins. I’ve recently watched aspeed test with the Pro and Note 20 ultra, the Note opened most apps quicker but the iPhone kept all the apps open in the background unlike the Note (didn’t expect that). If anyone has placed their phone improperly on a Qi charger and woken to an uncharged battery say no more with MagSafe

Every year or two I just tell Apple to fucking take my money and give me their new shit. By far they have not disappointed me yet. Upgraded from Xs to 12 pro. Initially not sure what I feel about the squarie frame but I decided to like it after a while. Yes and the low light camera performance is excellent. For the size of those cameras of course. My only concern is honestly dust could get in the Lidar hole.
