This becomes a big issue around this time because it sets the course for the entire year. People have asked why I follow conjunction, these are my top five reasons. ALSO I explain how I calculate the moon and when I'm celebrating passover this year. If you don't agree and choose to follow another calendar, that is fine. All is well. We can be different and still love each other. Shalom!

According to Enoch, the full moon always happens the 14th day, so I just find the full moons and count backwards lol. Rules out man's incorrect/late sightings and those problems with when the conjunction can occur above and below the sunset line (had so much confusion with that!) Love your content Zach, Shalom in Yehovah!

Point No. 1 is not a reason why the conjunction is corrrect since neither word means 'conjunction,' nor does either word signify where a moon of days or a month of days should start. Yerah means 'moon'. Hodesh means 'month' or 'new moon.' Yerah is used figuratively to stand for the length of a month 'a moon of days' which is the same as a 'month of days' so the two terms may be used sometimes to indicate the same meaning. But it is a trivial error in logic to say they are exact synonyms as implied by Zach.

When I first watched your video, it made sense to me. However, upon further research, I believe that you are wrong about the start of the Biblical new month. For example, upon reviewing The Works of Philo (a contemporary of Josephus and The Messiah and who lived from about 20 BC to about AD 50), it seems clear that the new month was determined by the lit moon that appears just after conjunction during the days of The Messiah, and there is a no record of a conflict between The Messiah and the religious leaders of His day regarding any errors about their determination of the Biblical Feasts (and, thus, their determination of the onset of the Biblical months) as there are records of conflict between The Messiah and said religious leaders regarding much less significant legal topics: "Following the order which we have adopted, we proceed to speak of the third festival, that of the new moon. First of all, because it is the beginning of the month, and the beginning, whether of number or of time, is honourable. Secondly, because at this time there is nothing in the whole of heaven destitute of light. Thirdly, because at that period the more powerful and important body gives a portion of necessary assistance to the less important and weaker body; for, at the time of the new moon, the sun begins to illuminate the moon with a light which is visible to the outward senses, and then she displays her own beauty to the beholders. And this is, as it seems, an evident lesson of kindness and humanity to men, to teach them that they should never grudge to impart their own good things to others, but, imitating the heavenly bodies, should drive envy away and banish it from the soul," The Works of Philo Judaeus (translated by C. D. Yonge), Volume III, page 283. "The third is that which comes after the conjunction, which happens on the day of the new moon in each month," The Works of Philo Judaeus (translated by C. D. Yonge), Volume III, page 265. "Following the order stated above, we record the third type of feast which we will proceed to explain. This is the New Moon, or beginning of the lunar month, namely the period between one conjunction and the next, the length of which has been accurately calculated in the astronomical schools. The new moon holds its place among the feasts for many reasons. First, because it is the beginning of the month, and the beginning, both in number and in time, deserves honour. Secondly, because when it arrives, nothing in heaven is left without light, for while at the conjunction, when the moon is lost to sight under the sun, the side which faces earth is darkened, when the new month begins it resumes its natural brightness. The third reason is, that the stronger or more powerful element at that time supplies the help which is needed to the smaller and weaker," The Works of Philo (translated by F. H. Colson), Volume VII, page 392.

Notice Philo said the new moon conjunction is ACCURATELY CALCULATED in the astronomical schools. The new moon conjunction can easily be calculated with a measuring rod. The first visible sliver cannot be calculated, but in fact is DIFFERENT from city to city and country to country. Meaning if we go by the first visible sliver, it is different all over the world, meaning everyone's sabbaths will be on different days. Not good. Co junction can be known ahead of time with a measuring rod. This is how king David knew the timing of the new moon an entire day in advance in1 samuel 20. Just like Philo said, the new moon conjunction can be calculated. The first sliver is different depending on overhead visibility. That would make clouds a curse, yet we know clouds are a blessing because they bring rain. Make yourself a measuring rod. Mark 120 centimeters on it. During the time of the 3rd lunar quarter, measure when the sun and the moon are 70cm apart. When the center of the sun is 70cm apart from the center of the moon, divide this 70cm by .5. You will get 140. This 140 represents hours. Divide the 140 hours by 24 hours in a solar cycle, to convert hours to days. This will give you 5.83 days. 5 days and .83 hours. Multiply 24 hours by .83 hours to get 19.92 hours. So the final calculation from the time you measured the 70cm is a total of 5 days and 19.92 hours. This will tell you exactly when the conjunction is. And it is how david knew a day in advance when the new moon day would be. You can never k ow a day in advance when the first visible cresent is.

Point 4: Claim. Messiah returns on the day of Trumpets. Assumption: the day of return is darkened. Therefore a conjuction must be meant. @ 12:26. But this darkness is abnormal since it also darkens the sun and isn't related to the darkness of the conjuction by a common cause.

With the new crescent method there are times when we know tomorrow is the new moon. On the 29th day of the month we look for the new crescent of the moon. If we do not see the new crescent of the moon on the 29th day, then by default the next day (tomorrow) is the new moon. So David and Johnathan would have known tomorrow is the new moon if the day before (the 29th) the new crescent was NOT sited..

How do you start the New Moon Day count? If the conjunction occurs at say 3am in the morning local time obtained from the websites, then did you start the Sabbath evening the previous evening or like from 3am, or do you observe the Sabbath from the evening OF the 3am New Moon Conjunction to the next evening and call it Day 1. I think Zach says the later part of the evening the same Gregorian day as the conjunction will be the Sabbath evening or Day 1, right?

Point 3e: one can multiply ad infinitum examples of things beginning in darkness, but one can do the same for things beginning in the light, i.e. the first daily offering, the wave offering, most battles, the workday, etc. It is purely arbitrary to claim one's assumption only applies to the case one wants it to.

Several of us in our small fellowship have come to this understanding. Our family would like to examine this even more. It has been decided though to keep the feasts for now according to the Rabbinical calendar to remain united in fellowship being the greater Torah. There has been so much division amoung all the groups around here. Some say we should be United with our brother Yehuda. If we feel we have been called to examine these things, shouldn't we do it? And yet stay united? He will, restore all things.

Disagree Simply said, conjunction puts people in charge, the sighted moon has God on the wheel. Tomorrow? Simply said, a month is maximum 30 days. If the moon is not sighted at the end of the 29th day, the new month starts, by default, the next eve. KEEP IN MIND, that they ate every day and some dudes were sharing the king’s portions Check out the occurrences when SIGNS are mentioned. Try to find a sign which is invisible. 😃 Shalom Aleikhem

Point No. 2b: Nowhere does it say they feasted for three days. There is only a second day of the new moon feast after the first day of the new moon feast, and then the feasting is over. By the way, this does show that 'hodesh' sometimes means 'new moon day' as opposed to 'month' which contradicts Point No. 1. The third day means 'until the third day' when the feasting would be over.

In 2014, 15, and 16 we had the blood moons and total solar eclipses occurring on moedim dates. These HUGE signs agree with moedim dating according to the conjunction, not the sliver dates. Our Creator and Savior is NOT going to put signs in the sky and then get ALL the dates wrong. Also, if the Rabbinics lose the 4 rules of postponement for changing moedim dates, then the moed are based on the conjunction, and conjunction messianics/hebroots people will be in unity with Judah (Ephraim and Judah joined as two sticks in His hand)... just a thought.

Thanks for this, I am still not 100% one way or the other. You are mentioning The words Yerach and Chodesh as being the same, however, it is only translated the same way in English as Month. In Hebrew, the terms are different though. Yerach is referring to the entire timeframe of the lunation, that is the entirety of the month or a specific month as in the 1Kings verse. However, Chodesh is referring to the actual new moon or beginning of the month. A better translation of 1 Kings 8:2 would read: Therefore, all the men of Israel assembled with King Solomon at the Feast in the month of Ethanim, which is the seventh new moon. We see the same used in 1 Kings 6:38 And in the eleventh year, in the month of Bul, which is the eighth new moon, the house was finished in all its details and according to all its plans. So he was seven years in building it. Just wanted to point that out.

I was following the WLC calendar but I just realized something. After some study, I believe in the evening to evening Sabbath and not dawn to dawn. So I think I was fooled but the Ruach seems to impress upon me that it's evening to evening. So now, if conjunction occurs at 3am local time and they called Friday the Sabbath Day (marked in blue), it actually means from Friday evening THAT day to the following (the NEXT day Saturday evening), I should be keeping the Sabbath! The blue should actually be on the following "day", in this case Saturday?
@-kepha8828
@-kepha8828 3 жыл бұрын
It's called the sabbath "DAY". God literally defined the DAY as the period of the suns light. He then defined the night as the period of darkness. He THEN commanded that they forever be SEPERATED! this is why Yeshua said in the book of John, "the DAY is but 12 hours". You were commanded to observe the DAY portion, not the night portion, and they CANNOT be combined into a 24 hour portion, like pagans teach. You can either OBEY what God said, or be held accountable for rejecting the scriptures I just provided. Your choice. Chose wisely.

@@-kepha8828 I just have one question. If the Sabbath starts during the day, which I think you mean dawn the wee hours of the morning, or I don't know 6am?, what if we are still sleeping during those hours or like to rise much later? So starting the DAY with sacred intention doesn't begin in sleep or does it. How will you answer this one without the Scriptures. Because if I'm only to observe the Sabbath from sun up to sun down and I wake up at say 10am, when is the ushering in of the Sabbath, when is the holy convocation, when do I glorify the Creator. Perhaps I should do them with a yawn and a stretch?

@-kepha8828
@-kepha8828 3 жыл бұрын
@@sidneyck no. You become clean again at evening, because the DAY officially ended. But a new day does NOT begin as soon as the old ended. Directly after the 12 hour period of day (measured by a sundial, not a Rolex watch), a 12 hour period of night began, measured by the 4 watches (as recorded in the book of Mark). Again, God literally, LITERALLY defined day as the period of LIGHT, that the sun rules over, and then defined the night as the period of darkness that the moon rules over, then commanded these two time periods to REMAIN SEPERATE! Keep them seperate! Jesus did, that's why he said "there are but 12 hours in the DAY". Not 24 hours in a day like your pagan Roman calendar rooted in mithra sunworship taught you.

When the moon begins its cycle, it appears in the sky one half of a seventh part; it will become fully illumined from the fourteenth day;"One half of its seventh part "APPEARS". If you read chapter 73 it explains the division of half the moon into 7 parts. Reading and re-reading this it doesn't sound like there was a feast going on. It sounds like it was the first day of the new month, the second day of the month, the third day of the month etc. This wasn't referring to the seventh month. Jonathon told Saul that David's family...just David's family, was going to Bethehem to sacrifice. It sounds like the eating being done at the Kings table was their daily meal at court, so nothing to do with a special feast as much as it was about the new month (any new month) or daily meal at court.

Jesse Zirkle Kodesh....Set Apart/ Holy. Each month is its own....yet shows His plan of Salvation in His moeds when they are altogether. Amos 8:5 a rest between months at the full moon at its darkest. It’s several days, not just one day. Because they didn’t know when it was over. So David didn’t get it wrong because it’s several days of the new moon festival looking for the crescent moon. It’s from the last sabbath of the last month to the next crescent moon of the next month. Because we are never told to add a month That scripture doesn’t have problems. It’s 3 days! Yes darkness is the time between that His people being with Him, during this darkness His Set Apart are in His protection. We abide in Him Who is light. Every single cycle represents His Plan of Salvation and Marriage Covenant with His bride. Sin/Repentance/Resurrection n Life. Josephus says the middle of the month is the full moon at its brightest. Passover and Unleavened Bread and Tabernacles are His Appointments showing His Plan and Covenant shining bright in His full moon at its brightest. Conjunction is during this Time between the months, a long Sabbath? I don’t believe anymore that the Sabbaths start at the beginning of the year and keep going because that is fully Gregorian calendar thinking. Have you looked into this? Because a month YaH made is 30 days n it doesn’t work out to have an every 7 day sabbath. It starts at the beginning of the month but there is a day or two between the Sabbaths at the conjunction between the months. There was no such thing as Fridays, Saturday’s, nor Sunday’s. The Indians are a lost tribe, they said Many moons ago? We are truck drivers on a midnight schedule and always looking at the moon. Yes the sun moves from our left to our right from spring to winter. Orion appears some time in August n goes away in the spring like as if He is showing up with us and representing Messiah. It’s like He comes back for the Harvest/Tabernacles. He shines the most during the beginning of the year, new beginnings and maybe His birth, when the lambs are being birthed or ready to be birthed( not sure). The sky is phenomenal and we don’t fully understand it but we fully believe it is all about His Word and represents His Path and Covenant. He has a sword at His Side on His belt representing His Word. The dippers look like an open gate like a sheep fold, or maybe pouring out Himself upon Whom will be His and His Wrath on who will not be His. There is a time that the gates are opened and the gates are closed in scripture. Also there’s a large one and a small one. Also look at Micah about Bozrah which means sheep fold. At His first campaign He delivers those in Bozrah first then moves it speedily toward Yerushalom. ? Anyways, we wish we truly knew all of it, but we absolutely do know what it represents! ....His covenant! That’s what truly counts!

Isn't the new year determined by the Spring Equinox or abib (budding) as per Levitcus? If you count 15 days from the Conjuncture and it falls after March 20th then the new year, 1st Month should begin. If it falls before March 20th then this will be the 13th month Adar ll and 1st month (Spring) would then be the next Conjuncture. The 15th day of the month falls on March 23rd so therefore the 1st month would begin. Just want to know your thoughts on this please. Thank you

str8istheg8 narrowtheway Me and my husband was thinking this was the last sabbath of the last month to the beginning of the next month at the crescent moon. Why wouldn’t they know when sabbath was over? It’s not a sunset to sunset or a morning til night. And there’s no way a sabbath can be continuous from the beginning of the year and constant like the Gregorian pagan calendar and YaH never says to add a month at the end of the year for the extra days. So there’s a time between months that is not accounted for at the full moon at its darkest. It makes sense that there’s a long sabbath between the months and it’s Set Apart. We do know that it all points to His covenant as every cycle is His Plan of Salvation, even a woman’s cycle has Sin n Death then Repentance with cleansed alters then after the cleansing time come the seeds of life, birth and resurrection. Every cutting of meat that sheds blood is a His covenant and every cycle shows His covenant and plan, including the month cycle. Like the Holy Spirit hovered over the waters of the deep in the beginning, it’s like a time before the birth. His Holy Days are also in the gestation period of the time a child is in the mothers womb. Cycles are all linked in showing His Covenant. The crescent moon with the naked eye is after the last sabbath of the month then looking up for the redemption/Sabbath/Shalom/ wholeness/Completeness/ Hiding place in Him between the months, during the full moon at its darkest. Also note Revelation says His Spirit is 7 fold. Isaiah 11:1 tells what the 7 are. Then Proverbs tell us those are female, a She, not a king James He. The female gives birth. The Father speaks Life and gives seed. They work together and both male and female were made at the same time in their image. It makes sense that the Messiah may have been born the first day of the year when the lambs are being birthed and the baby in the womb is in darkness before a baby comes out seeing a shimmer of light then the eyes slowly become open to see, though the baby recognizes the voice of its parents. It seems this is the dark time of protection or under the wing before coming out, or birthed. We are seeking. It seems it all is linked. We are still seeking. That Amos scripture has to be a part of the David story for it to make sense that it was 3 days. The rest and long sabbath between the months maybe? And a full irritation to a pagan wanting to make money. There is a new moon at its brightest according to Josephus that is the middle of the month In first Kings 12 says the fifteenth day is the new moon but he did it a month late. So it could be a set apart month starts at the full moon at its brightest. But whether it’s the crescent or the full moon at its brightest, either way could make sense. But how can the new year be 14 days prior to Pesach and a unleavened bread which is at the full moon at its brightest, so Pesach cannot be the head of the year. The head of the year is at the crescent moon after the barley is abib for the coming wave offering on the third day after the death of the Messiah on Pesach. Anyways, we are all seeking and if we are seeking then He will without a doubt reveal it to us. Praise YaH!

Good teaching. About 10 years ago i noticed that on the first night of Sukkot (using a Sliver sighting), the moon was already 1 or 2 days past Full. So I put it in the back of my mind until I heard different opinions about the topic. Then when I heard a Conjunction New Moon proponent (119 Ministries?) it all started making sense. There was something to this. I remember all the Hooplah over the Blood Moons and Tetrads, and wondered if they might shed some light (forgive the pun) on this Conjunction view. As to the Sliver moon method, it is just tradition. Tradition can be wrong, especially when it resists new information.

Point 5: Claim, book of Enoch supports conjuction. I'm not convinced of this because this book may support the Qumran Calendar which does not use the conjuction at all. Kim Pridgen Look carefully at Scripture and you'll see that it is the sun, moon and stars that are used for determining time. The barley fits into this, but it doesn't control the determination. I believe the stars and sun determine the year (the equinox).
@joyceobeys6818
@joyceobeys6818 5 жыл бұрын
Kim Pridgen The barley has to be determined in this also because there must be the barley for the wave offering. Representing the 3rd day after His death, His resurrection. We watch for the Abib barley along with the next crescent moon. Because the head of the year is 14 days before Pesach and the full moon is the middle of the month according to Josephus, And also Gen 1:14 that the sun moon n stars are for His moeds of Lev 23.....(a little off subject) Which is also Acts 20. The first day of the plural Sabbaths in verse 7, not week as in Gregorian calendar to change the day for sabbath to a made up day called Sunday, nor Friday to Saturday, there’s no such a thing in the Bible. It’s the 7 sabbath countdown plus a day to Pentecost. Only HaSatans made up by man calendars have set days by man. Anyways we are still seeking and searching but we know that you can not take one scripture alone to make a belief out of it, we must rightly divide the WHOLE entire Word of Truth for it all to fit together like a beautiful finished quilt without missing pieces. And if we keep seeking then I know He will definitely show us. What we do know for a fact is that it is all points to His Marriage Covenant He has to His Bride. Also, The word Moon, is the Word Set Apart, Holy. I’m thinking the first Holy was Him! The head of the year when the lambs were being birthed. Then we are birthed by the Ruach HaKodesh. Who is here after Messiah shows He is here. Like Adam and Eve made at the same time but she is birthed from His side and then continues His work in Birthing. My husband and I are seeing the Set Apart Spirit is female in Isaiah 11:1 and Proverbs. Not King James Version that changed it to He. We are amazed at the brainwashing and what is still hidden that He shows us like a baby coming out of the womb and seeing the light slowly til it’s full. Shalom Mishpacha

@@joyceobeys6818 If you use the equinox for the sun, and then look for the first conjunction of the moon to start your monthly counting, the moon will be full and will be right next to the barley in the constellation of Virgo every time you practice passover. In this way, the moon is a sign of the feasts. Check out "The witness of the stars" for biblical view of the stars. This is not horoscope stuff - that's not for us believers. The reason David & Johnathon new the Crescent would appear the following day is because it was not visible, it was in conjunction, and it ALWAYS appeared apprx 18 hours after the conjunction was in its final stage. The event with these two men was actually in preparation of Trumpets. +Zachary Bauer (New2Torah) The world’s leading scholars unanimously agree that the ancient Israelites determined the beginning of their new month (rosh chodesh) based on sighting the first crescent, sliver or sickle of the new moon. There are no sources that indicated that the ancients relied on the astronomical conjunction for determining rosh chodesh In the Mishnah, the book containing the late second century record of Jewish legal rulings and other religious records, we find recorded that the Jews’ religious leaders established rigorous protocols and rituals for determining when the new moon had been sighted. The following quotes are from the Mishanah. “A father and son who SAW THE NEW MOON…” (Rosh Hash 1:1a) “Tobiah, the physician, SAW THE NEW MOON IN JERUSALEM…” (Rosh Hash 1:7e) “HE WHO SAW THE NEW MOON…” (Rosh Hash 1:9a) The Mishnah then goes on to discuss how to examine those who claimed to have been eye witnesses of the new moon to determine if their testimony was accurate or not (Rosh Hash 2:6ff). One of the questions the religious leaders in Jerusalem would ask of the Jewish witnesses was, “HOW DID YOU SEE THE MOON?” (ROSH. HASH 2:6C). The Jewish leader, GAMALIEL [of Acts 5:34] actually showed pictures of the shapes of the moon to the witnesses to help ascertain the accuracy of the witnesses’ testimony (Rosh Hash 2:8). From the most ancient Jewish records in existence, including the Mishnah, there is no hint that the Jews before, during or after the time of Yahshua (until at least the middle of the fourth century) determined the new moon in any other way than by sighting the visible sliver of the new moon. Based on these facts, we can be absolutely certain that Yahshua and his early followers (the authors of the Apostolic Scriptures or New Testament) determined the new moon's advent, the beginning of the biblical month and, hence, the biblical calendar and the biblical feasts based on the visible sighting of the new moon's crescent. We can find no evidence to the contrary that they deter¬mined the new moon in any other way.

i often wonder if Genesis is sadly misunderstood and should possibly be translated with the mindset of when Father says let there be light, separated light from dark, called light day dark night... and it came to be evening and it came to be morning and when it came to be morning was the END point for that first day. then he made the sky and it came to be evening and when it came to be morning marks the end of day 2. so it would be more like measuring from morning to morning. you cant get a full day out of starting at evening and ending at morning. you would also think the DAY starts when the LIGHT or "day" starts, nature its self is a witness of this. why would Father start a "DAY" which He says is light at NIGHT or darkness? would we not the call our days night? and say at the beginning of the night, at evening... would it not say and there was evening and there was morning the first night? night or dark can not be called day or light. why would Father contradict Himself?

Thank you again for challenging me to discover God's word. Perhaps someone can clarify what I'm about to write. Prayerfully consider the following. We can assume that David comes to Jonathan at or near the beginning of the night "at even", for he plans to do so when he sees him again, in three days - for David is genuinely concerned about being killed by King Saul. I Sam. 20:5 " And David said unto Jonathan, Behold, tomorrow is the new moon, and I should not fail to sit with the king at meat: but let me go, that I may hide myself in the field unto the third day at even. If thy father at all miss me, then say, David earnestly asked leave of me that he might run to Bethlehem his city: for there is a yearly sacrifice there for all (my) family." Why did they celebrate for two days? Correct me if I am wrong, but it is my understanding that the new moon would have been sighted on the night that David first met with Jonathan, in the night, perhaps early but in the evening (and David could have come to Jonathan AFTER the sighting of the new moon). . Again, why two days to celebrate? Why must David stay away from Saul for two days, during this feast? Because, after the sighting, they traditionally celebrate for two days, calling it "one long day". What do you think? May God grant us wisdom and truth by His Holy Spirit, and as Paul wrote, may no man judge you in regard to "... a new moon". kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYXbeKGHnaujppI

Parable of the Vineyars doesnt respect the scriptures when it comes to the calendar. Adam claims that the book of Jubilees is God inspired scripture (which I agree), but then he rejects Jubilees chapters 1, 6, 14, 15, 16, 44 and 45, that all state that the Feast of Weeks must be on the 16th day of the 3rd month. Scripture often gives Adam a direct answer, which he then chides to reject, mock, and teach against, because it contradicts his manmade tradition. Adam loves his star of Remphan, his day of saturns day.

Why is he adding a 13th month. I was under the understanding that if the 15th fell before the Spring Equinox then the 13th month is added and the New Year would have to wait another month. Just asking HIM how HE figured it. I thought we were all believers here and asking is how we learn. Iron sharpening Iron! Then on the third quarter, when the half line is end to end straight, I think: Let's see, it has been 14 days since the opposite half, first half. Great! Seven days to go. The two half moons are two witnesses to the end of the cycle. Not hard at all, especially after doing it a time or two.

+andrew lang The bible doesn't tell you to look for Aviv barley reports on facebook. It just says that the barley was aviv....not some of the barley...but it was all of the barley. Gen 1:14 says that the lights in the sky determine the moed (appointed times) and we know that people throughout history used the sun and starts to determine when the spring was come. If you wait till the spring equinox (stars=lights) has passed, ALL the Barley will be aviv. Then your new moon will be the true beginning of the year. Which makes sense if you think about spring being the start of life. What do they say? April showers bring May flowers. In March, things are still dead from winter...even in the south where I live. Hope that helps explain my position.

andrew lang think about what you just wrote. Isaiah 13:10, Joel 3:15 and Matthew 24:29 are about the prophetic event where both the sun and the moon won't give their light. That has nothing to do with the normal course of the moon. Conjunction is a transition period where you do not see the moon's light for 1+ days. That is different than the phases of the moon starting from a waxing crescent sliver to a waning crescent sliver. New moon is different from dark moon.

I take issue with #2. The moon can be absent from the sky 1 or 2 days. If it was missing for two, it will show up tomorrow. If it disappeared early on the first day, it will show up the next day. If you can calculate the conjunction based on the disappearing of the waning moon, you can calculate when you will be able to see the waxing crescent. I also take issue with #3, because then the month wouldn't start with conjunction, but immediately after the waning moon disappears. The day starts when the sun goes down, not at midnight. Midnight would be the "conjunction" of the darkness of night. The rest is pretty tenuous. Especially since we know historically that in 2nd temple times they were using the sliver. That means Yeshua Himself used the sliver to celebrate the moedim! They even had a system of lighting signal fires on hilltops (a lot like in the third Lord of the Rings movie) to tell all of Israel the moon had been sighted. Nonetheless, as you always say, we can still be friends.

I personally could not accept the equinox scenario you mentioned because it just makes no sense to ME to use something(the equinox) to determine that something has already started....also, if you start the Hebrew year then, this year, your Fall feasts will all be in the Summer exept for the last 2 days of Sukkot...that's a no go for me....but after this video of Zach's, I HAVE discovered that the traditional Hebrew calendar is also a day off(I am not sure why)...so I will be keeping Passover on the night of Thursday, April 21st..that is the exact night of the full moon and lines up perfectly with the New Moon 2 weeks before. Zachary, the scriptures you are quoting are very much associated to the Luner cycles however the New Moon is the "Full Moon". and to focus on the conjunction, the dark phase is actually inverted as we are to focus on the New Moons to establish the new months.. The Full moon is the 1st day of each new month. The full moon is day 1 of the new month. this is the ancient way that God had originally set up for all men to follow, the Sun Moon, and Stars. The 8th,15th, 22nd, and 29th days after each Full Moon New Moon day are the true Sabbath days we are to follow in obedience to God. (YHUH or pronounced YaHUaH) Darkness actually separates from the light in the fourth watch at Dawn, the day begins at Dawns early light every day, just before the sun rises. The Gregorian calendar was brought about in order to hide the true Sabbath days (The evil RCC Pope Gregory the 13th and Bishops Gregorian calendar)so that we would forget and not know when the true Sabbath days are... This is where the Catholic and Christians are in error as they do not keep Sabbath as commanded by YHUH. Luke 23:44 NET version footnotes (eklipontos/ ekleipontos) is the original Greek word and a very important clue, there was an "Eclipse" for three hours the day YAHUSHUA was killed. and the translators for tradition reasons changed the words on purpose to fit their religious' belief's as noted in the footnotes. The only time scientifically possible is the 14th day after the Full Moon. Passover is the 14th day after the Full Moon. Also, other ancient literature says there was an eclipse the day of the "Crucifixion". Always read ALL the footnotes in ALL versions, including the book of Enoch and Jubilees. The footnotes all say the full moon is the New Moon, and there was an "Eclipse" for about 3 hours which is the complete Eclipse cycle time involved, three hours. There are many other scriptures that back this up. (Psalms 81:3 NIV) Catholics and Christians no longer celebrate the New Moon feast days, these are ALWAYS a festival unto YHUH, each and every New Moon is a monthly feast day, and it is by these New Moon days our days are numbered. This is the heavenly clock of YHUH. 44 It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, 45 for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Also the exact names of the creator (best English translation) is YHUH pronounced YaHUaH and his first born son YaHUsHua YHUH YaHUaH YaHUsHua PS the Trinity doctrine is a verified deception, YHUH is the Almighty One, and YaHUsHua is the Anointed One who sits at the right hand of the Father, and YAHUSHUA has been given all the authority of YHUH to redeem you.

First of all I would never base a theory on what is quote-unquote "commonly thought;" we cannot say something is "commonly thought" we have to say, "scripture says." The Book of Enoch sums up the fact that light IS the first day OF the month , AND the month ends in darkness plain and simple. We are told to "observe the new moon." And I don't know where you live but we are able to see the new moon at 1%, by the time you get to two and three percent it's huge already. The other fact is that we don't go beyond 30 days in a month even if we can't see the moon because of Storms and clouds. The 30-day month was established at the time of Noah at which time 360 days were in the year before the Earth was tilted on its axis. I understand that moongiant says that the Dark Moon is the beginning, but according to scripture it is the first light of the Moon that is the beginning. You quoted that yourself in The Book of Enoch chapter 78 verse 12, "and on the first day she is called the new moon for on that day light Rises upon her! Deuteronomy 16:1 actually says, to "observe the month of abib." If you go to the Hebrew it is Shemar, Hodesh, Abib: OBSERVE, NEW MOON, BARLEY RIPE (barley - time of ripeness. month of ear forming, fresh young barley). Look it up for yourself on e-sword or Strong's: Observe, SHAMAR H8104; Month, CHODESH H2320; ABIB or AVIV, H24, time of barley ripe, fresh young barley ears, barley month of ear forming. Now about the Lord coming at trumpets; I don't know how in the world you arrive at that idea just because trumpets are blowing? Or he comes at the sound of the last Trump? The proof is in the order of the feast days that they outline the Plan of Salvation. We have Passover, and then wave sheaf, in which Christ ascended to his Father as the wave Sheaf, he WAS the wave sheaf, the first fruits of the Harvest. Zechariah 3 will tell you what happened when he went up to heaven in the analogy of Joshua and the angel we know it's talking about Christ because later it calls him the BRANCH. We know he ascended to his Father still in filthy robes and that God rebuke Satan in his accusations against Christ and Christ was the brand plucked from the fire meaning he could come into the presence of God without being destroyed. Then we have him reinstated as the high priest, because they bring him the clean robes and the fair Mitre which is the head Garment of the high priest. He was reinstated then as the high priest in the order of Melchizedek. Psalms 110:4. Compared with Hebrews 7 who identifies him as the Lord. Back to the order of feast days as the order of salvation. We have Leavened Bread, Pentecost, Trumpets, Day of Atonement, Feast of Tabernacles and finishing with the Last Great Day. I will ask you one question, how can Christ come before there is the day of Atonement which happens before his coming? He is our high priest in heaven and offers up his blood once and for all as our high priest, and then he says, "he who has righteous let him be righteous still, and he who is filthy let him be filthy still." He throws down the sensor which is representative of the prayers of the Saints and he declares that it is finished! At which time he prepares to come to Earth to gather his own five days later at the beginning of Tabernacles which means god with us. We travel back to heaven over a period of a week's time, 7 days, and then once in heaven, we celebrate the Marriage Supper of the Lamb with Christ in heaven. Then the books are opened and everyone is brought into account who is not written in the Lambs Book of Life. This time of JUDGMENT lasts a thousand years in heaven before all can agree that God has judged justly and every question is answered as to why our loved ones may not be there ...this is the Judgment of the wicked . Then Yeshua comes back to the earth a THIRD time (no one talks about this because they don't study deep enough) bringing with him the Holy City ( Revelation 21) full of the Saints and touches his feet on the Mount of Olives ( note scripture shows he does not touch the Earth at his second coming) and the Mount of Olives splits into a giant plane making room for the footprint of the holy city, which is 1500 Miles Square. The wicked are raised back to life and in time decide to take the city God by force...God then reveals to them that they've had every chance to choose to serve him, but they have not. Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and then God withdraws his protective power from them and sin consumes them as an eternal fire. Then fire and brimstone are rain down from heaven and burns up all the residue of the wicked, just like Sodom and Gomorrah. It is not until after this time that all things are created new.

Enoch 73:4 "It the moon rises in this manner: Its head faces the easterly direction, coming out on the thirtieth day, on that day, that is, on the thirtieth day, it comes into existence, and it appears with the sun in the gate through which the sun exits; and you have the beginning of the month."On the 30th day the moon rises in the east and sets in the west. It comes out on the 30th day despite that fact that you cannot see it in the sky the entire day but it is there. At sunset ("it appears") despite being out all day of the 30th day. It follows the Sun through the window that the sun is setting (going down) and then it appears. "And you have the beginning of the month. If you read the rest of Enoch 73 it says that the moon must give light. Enoch 73:6 "On the day when it receives one-seventh part of its one half, as the sun sets, it becomes equivalent to one-seventh light of one half of it." and it goes through the cycle.Enoch 73:7 "Then when the sun rises, the moon rises together with it, taking a portion of one half of its light; that night the moon, just beginning its monthly journey on its first lunar day, sets with the sun and becomes dark, in respect to its thirteen parts that night. On that day it rises and shines with exactly one-seventh part of its semicircle.""Sets with the sun and becomes dark" verse 7 is the sunset of the 1st day of the month ushering in the second day of the month. (please remember verse 4 was the sunset on the 30th day ushering in the first day of the month) SO the first night we should see some light for the 1/7 part of its half side(sliver). The second night its 1/7th part should receive all its light just before setting.

Is that what Judah/the Jews did when Yeshua/Jesus was crucified? The first instruction regarding Passover seems to be "convocation" or meeting together, which would mean meeting at the same time. During the time of Messiah, did they do it according to the correct time? Did it matter if He was crucified on the wrong day? "These [are] the feasts of יהוה, [even] holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons. 5 In the fourteenth [day] of the first month at even [is] יהוה 's passover." Reasons I keep the New Moon and not the Conjunction: 1. The Bible says "keep the New Moon" 2. The Holy Spirit is light, like time is also kept by light not darkness 3. There are only 5 or 6 dark moons in a year, so cannot be consistantly kept. 4. If a dark moon has occurred, you can guaranee the New Moon is to follow (eg. David & Jonathan) 5. Dont listen to nasa, who claim a New Moon can take upto 3 days. A Sabbath/following dark moon then New Moon can be a 3 day event if going by the observable sliver, a dark moon only lasts 1 day maximum, but usually does not occur for more than 1 day.

Which means the very next day (which is not a full moon) must be the new moon day. = The dawn AFTER conjunction (moon turns dark exactly on conjunction). Philo, a 1st century Jewish historian, who was a contemporary of Yeshua, wrote 3 seperate times that the "conjunction" new moon is the new moon day. King David literally and undisputively said "blow the Rams horn on the FULLY COVERED new moon day, on our feast". End of discussion. Your opinions, assumptions, and thoughts on the subject are irrelevant, when the words of scripture were crystal clear. The only reason this question is allowed to be entertained, with fools claiming the cresent or full moon as options, is because they are using a faulty english translation. The english translation has no authority whatsoever, literally none, to the hebrew text. Sorry your english speaking bias does not want to hear that, but it is fact. This is not ment to be a knock or an attack on you. Its ment to show you that you have no wiggle room to manipulate the text words used. The text is clear. Kese + kasa = fully COVERED new moon day. The moon is fully covered, vonceiled, hidden, veiled, on this day.

@@-kepha8828 For someone lecturing me on paying attention to detail you sure make a lot of grammatical errors. I'm not assuming what the moon is doing, I'm using my eyeballs, brain, and Scripture. I don't have it completely figured out, but I can say with some research that forecasting the dark moon has always been an issue. I can also say with some research and personal experience that the full moon is totally forecastable! Now as far as the covering. what covers the moon but that beautiful white light? One day I pray to be covered in a beautiful white light like the moon. I don't know Hebrew but found this...does this mean anything to you? I mean which moon phase is the rebuilt and renewed? chadash heb 2318-a primitive root; to be new; causatively, to rebuild: renew, repair

@@-kepha8828 Well Scripture does say we will get some amazing white robes. I'm thinking kinda like what the moon has, a covering of white that is constantly restored and renewed in its time.

10:30 "...in the middle you have full light" Actually, if you count from sun set to sun set, in the middle you have the sun rising. I'm thinking of Jacob who wrestled until the sun rose for him, and he saw that it was God that he was fighting/resisting all along and not flesh. God gets way too little credit for the things (nice and uncomfortable ) that He is doing in our lives. Only some time later in the day does the sun shine full strength. I like the picture.

Love your discussions. But you are WRONG about evening-morning a new day. The Israelites were in Egypt for 215 years and were used to the new day beginning at midnight. So when Genesis ends the day and begins a new one with there was evening and then morning, the "morning" is talking about midnight, which began the new DATE for the Israelites. That's why Leviticus speaks of the day of atonement having a celebration during the day of the 10th but specifically saying that the sabbath day begins on the "ninth in the evening." That's because when it deals with DATES, the DATE changes at midnight. Same with the days of unleavened bread. The 1st day of unleavened bread, which is the day they left Egypt, begins on the "fourteenth in the evening" and thus on the 15th in the evening. (Exodus 12: "18 In the first month, from the FOURTEENTH day of the month AT EVENING, you shall eat unleavened bread until the twenty-first day of the month at evening." When you realize that the Israelites referring to midnight as "morning" you understand lots of things. Case in point, they were told not to leave their homes until "morning." Why not? Because the angel of death came at midnight so it wasn't safe until after the angel of death passed over. But after that, they could leave. In fact, they left while it was still night shortly after passover. They did not wait until sunrise. Also the passover meal was specifically to end before "morning." Why? The significance of the meal was in connection with being passed over at midnight by the angel of death. After that, the meal was not significant. It all makes sense when you realize the Israelites are calling midnight "morning." And why? Because that is when they were used to changing the DATE. "They call midnight "morning" just as we do. Our morning beings are 12:01 a.m. It's the morning of a new day. But as well, in Genesis, when the Bible poetically closes a creative day and says there was evening and morning, a new day, that new day began at midnight. Sunrise does not begin a new day. The day beginning at midnight was thus a strong and primary concept for the Israelites. Now think about this. The same night they ate passover is the very same night they left Egypt. They left Egypt shortly after passover on the 15th. The main celebration is on the 15th. But that's the day after passover was eaten that night. Even so, passover is always spoken of as being eaten on the 14th. That's because Passover ends specifically at midnight, the same time the date changes. Realize what this means. The Israelites had a concept of two mornings and two evenings. The two evenings began at noon and sundown. "Between the two evenings," that is, halfway between the two evenings at noon and sunset was the 9th hour, 3 p.m., the same hour the lambs are killed, the same hour Jesus died! That's significant. Thus Jesus sent out the two disciples on the same day the lambs were killed. One took the lamb to the temple to be killed while the other prepared the meal. At sundown, however, it became the sabbath. Passover was eaten until midnight. It remained the 14th until midnight. Then it turned to the 15th. That means Jesus was arrested on the 15th. There is no way he could have died on a Friday, as you know. Now Jesus rose during the night, actually "but early" meaning just before the early morning watch, meaning just before 3 a.m. So he was only in the grave part of that third night. We also know he died at the 9th hour and that was part of the first day of the "three days and three nights." In 33 CE, the day of preparation was on Nisan 20th, a Thursday. Thus Jesus would have been in the grave on Thursday night, Friday night and Saturday night -- three nights. Also, you say in another video there was no time to purchase spices because they could not purchase spices on a sabbath. You are correct. But you say the only time they could have purchased the spices was on a Friday. Well, they had time to purchase spices after the sabbath was over. That is, after sunset on Saturday. Lots of businesses were likely opened right after sabbath ended. So the spices could have been purchased on the first day of the week. Jesus mother and others didn't go to the tomb with the spices until sunrise on Sunday. Plus, they had time to buy the spices the day Jesus was condemned to die. He was impaled at the 3rd hour, which was 9 p.m. that night. They could have anticipated his death and purchased the spices at that time. They could have purchased spices after his impalement anytime that day from sunrise until he died at 3 p.m. They just didn't have time to prepare his body with the spices because it was the sabbath. Thanks again for your close-up look at these details. Jesus ate Passover on the 14th, was arrested on the 15th, had his trial on Wednesday, was impaled at 9 p.m. that Wednesday night, died the next day of preparation on Thursday, Nisan 20th, died at 3 p.m. and was in the grave Thursday night, Friday night and Saturday night. Then he rose on the 23rd (Saturday night, Sunday early morning) and appeared for 40 days and ascended Friday. Holy spirit came upon the 120 in the upper room at Pentecost that Sunday at 9 a.m. As you know, the common idea taught about these last events of Jesus life are confusing for many reasons, but not truthful according to scripture. You have a chance to correct this as you have many other things. Much appreciated.
