Honkai: Star Rail's metagame has been advancing extremely quickly, leading to the formation of several niches each as powerful as the next. Today I'll be listing the Top Five STRONGEST Teams in the game. Bear in mind with the many game modes Star Rail has in conjunction with the fluctuation of its cycle blessings, rogue strategies can become popular for a time, and there's always a chance a new top meta team will come in the future that surpasses one of the five choices. But I feel confident that these five will stay relevant for a long time.

DoTs are already dealing enough damage to chunk at least 15% of the enemy's hp on minimum per turn and that's still not counting the initial damage on hit. A character that allows DoTs to crit would break the ceiling for Kafka as she can proc all DoTs on an enemy on command, potentially propelling her close to Acheron levels of nuke or even better.

I did use DOT on second half, but my Himeko/Argenti/Tingyun/Aven team did more damage (wind shear buff) than the mid-build DOT team. If you have other built non-DOT characters, you can still play around to see if you can make a good team

1:21 It's already happening, and that's a good thing. Penacony is the closest arc to HI3 level of story telling, and is the fan favorite arc. Every character is cool and flashy, with no filler characters, which means you do not have to worry about your favorite character not being strong because all of them will get to be meta sooner or later. And don't get me started on Dan Heng getting his Imbibitor Lunae form. Bronya has 10 battlesuits in HI3, Himeko 6, and Seele recently got her 4th one. Also, that Cocolia boss fight that got everyone hyped is how story arcs usually end in HI3 since chapter 17.

Two fun notes. 1- The IPC team is getting Jade next patch, who apparently also is a FUA attacker and can fit in for a more meme/role play team. 2- Acheron and the Kafka-Swan teams can be combined into basically the premium/superior form of both, with SW optionally slotting in place of Kafka for single target content.

I also think Xueyi has a sleeper hit team out there somewhere. With 240% bonus dmg, you gotta have some broken team. Right now her best teams seem to be mono quantum and FUA dual dps, but she also seems to be able to take part in the upcoming break meta. I just feel she's gonna be someone whose stocks has tons of potential to go up with better synergies in the future.

I've been using Clara as my main carry, and her current team is great regardless of weakness types and can clear anything. Clara - nearly perma ulting blast counter main dps Topaz - single target and follow up boosting Robin - best support for FuA Huo Huo - keeping energy topped up Aventurine taunts attacks away from Clara too often and doesn't give her extra energy, it doesn't work as well from my testing.

@@junimondig It's not that she's liked more than HuoHuo, but that Lynx has a skill that allows her to literally throw aggro on anyone she wishes. Since Clara wants nothing more than to be hit, in this circumstance she would add comparable if not more value to a Clara main DPS team overall.

I forgot which the second class was but it would make sense so Lynx could taunt herself instead of putting a taunt on a hunt character ig). RRAT team is so fun and chaotic i love it. Topaz as a future investment is undebatable, this unit will shine even brighter with the more FUA units released later. The only downside is that RRAT team or IPC team is very single target focused.

Seele monoquantum has a substitute of Tingyun in place of Silverwolf, since Seele will have better Resurgence buff uptime when she ults. Her Tingyun team actually yields better clears than the Silverwolf variant, often being a turn faster on MOC metrics.

Of the teams listed in this video, the IPC team is the one I can easily make use of right now. Though often times I end up swapping Ratio for Clara because I do love the Counterattacking mechanic. I would really love to do the Hertako team comp, but I do lack Himeko right now. Tempted to simply choose her during the Standard Ult pity, rather than Bronya as many people would say to do. Granted, given that I have Sparkle who power-creeps on Bronya a bit already (minus the Cleanse Bronya can give), I might still pick Himeko

I argue that dual dps team of Jingliu with Blade is better than Jingliu hypercarry alone because they have good synergy especially with Lynx as the sustain. Lynx skill on Blade + Jingliu's spectral migration state and ult help trigger Blade's fua often is pretty good especially with Ruan Mei. They are my go to team for most content that doesn't heavily resist ice and wind dmg.

Regarding that statement regarding acheron on PF, we all know that's not how her technique works. PF has 3 waves and each wave have multiple enemies coming. Her technique only applies on per wave and not when the enemy comes inside that wave

Seele > DHIL fight me. Just as Vars said in the situations you can use her she is really good, which is all of the game as long as you are not hyper fixated on only using mono quantum, which while being her most consistent team conceptually isn't her best team by a long shot. Just play her like any other hyper carry and you will see results (good supports also mitigate her killing "problem"). Mono quantum is just the cherry on top. I don't like bringing up 0-cycles in viability discussions but Seele and Acheron are the only two characters who have both 0-cycled and full scored every MoC/PF. Seele hasn't fallen off and I am tired of people pretending she did. The only thing that changed is that she doesn't have a complete choke hold on the meta anymore.

Nothing concrete yet afaik, but the current belief is that Ruan Mei and Argenti are going to run with Firefly and Jade respectively... and tbh I kinda believe it because the Firefly/Ruan Mei combo will create panic and fomo for people who want both for their break teams and don't have the latter, especially if they skipped Ruan Mei previously (or were just screwed over by rng like me). Plus we're apparently going to get another Nihility character in 2.4 (and another Foxian at that), so I can easily see Huohuo being paired up with that character since she works so well in DoT teams. And I doubt Dr Ratio's banner will rerun in 2.3 either, since he's the newest of the remaining pre-penacony characters, and we're still only just coming out of his freebie period.

wanna give a correction for the end there we don't just have boothill and harmony mc for break we also have ruan mei for her break efficiency buff and gallagher who scales off break effect which allows him to do damage too so we have a full break team we're also getting firefly who just like boothill is a break dps and both have good options for breakers if you don't have ruan mei with luka and guinaifen being able to utilize break or if you put a hybrid build on boothill you can run bronya/sparkle with him (he's still better with harmony mc as his other support tho)

I swear I'm the ONLY one who runs Preservation Trailblazer in my DoT team. Like seriously, go Kafka, Swan, Trailblazer, and a harmony. The DoT set maxes out it's bonus at 3 DoTs, and Trailblazer with Trend can guarantee burn on enemies to fulfill that 3rd dot requirement. Yall are just lazy or something lol

It's mostly because you need Trends, which gives a subpar DoT, while TB requires a ton of SP to comfortably sustain a team. And the damage increase from a single extra DoT (and small DoT) is generally not preferred over a sustain that is comfortable while supplying the SP to allow BS and Harmony to skill as well

A bit of a correction, Acheron Nihility trace is not 60% damage bonus, It is a 1.6 multiplier to all her damage after all calculations, meaning the damage formula gets multiplied by 1.6x

You're really overselling acheron's technique, pure fiction only has 3 actual waves that just have a lot of enemy reinforcements in them, her technique only activates a total of 3 times per battle if you use it Not bad, mind you, but not as good as you make it sound

My strongest teams that I managed to create having almost all the limited 5 stars are: Jingliu/Argenti/Lunae/Jingyuan/Seele/Ratio, Bronya, Tingyun, Huohuo. In this team, Robin can replace either Tingyun or Bronya. Acheron, Welt, SW, Huohuo, this team is like Ace Of All Trades, destroys even pure fiction.

Recently, the Herta Himeko team feels very weak in PF. I have decent builds on them, but they get around only 25k points even when I run them on the side that has either fire or ice weakness. Good thing my other team of Kafka, Swan and Acheron gets 40k points every time. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to beat PF completely. The only exception is when there are FUA buffs in PF.

I managed to get sparkle, himeko and Luocha in like the span of a week and then I got aventurine. My account went from struggling to literally dominating every end game.

My 300 wishes was for Himeko, regardless of Pure Fiction because I love her. Now Pure Fiction is such a cool content, I m even more happy of my choice. I hesitate with Bronya but loosing a 50/50 on her confirm that my 300 wishes were for Himeko and only her xP

I'm F2P so it can be a little hard to get all the characters I want. My favorite team to use is Luocha, Blade, Bronya, and Pela. Luocha's ability to heal outside of his turn for no SP makes him pretty good for Blade, who damages himself to deal good damage. Bronya makes Blade's turns come around faster while Pela is good for giving defense debuffs. I also have a team with Guinaifen, Aventurine, Dr Ratio, and Sparkle. The team works okay but Guinaifen is there in place of Topaz since I don't have her. I used everything I had trying to get Aventurine and his light cone. Got the gambler, not his light cone. It is true about his stacks though. I have him built to the point that his defense is over 4000 at the moment and he does pretty good. Though this is because I don't have his light cone. If I did I would do what is suggested for his body and planar pieces to make him hybrid.

DoT never failed me so far, Kafka + Black Swan combo, is just too good for both PF and MoC, also, i never healer on SU. Just, Acheron, Black Swan, Kafka, and Ruan Mei (i called it Mommies Team), but obviously for MoC i use HuoHuo. I didnt have any regret pulling for them.

Getting Himeko's cone from standard banner ahead of losing a 50/50 to her, ah, the aeons are merciful, though the E1S1 Clara luck has been my go-to for a while. Also have Yanqing and his cone, but said cone is on Ratio for the IPC FUA team.

Once again, G&G is not an endgame mode by definition. If you say it is, you should also add many others, like Aetherium wars, Luofu MoC expansion, many battle events (including the current one) and even things like genshin tcg is an endgame mode now (and we all know it is not, says the person who plays it more than regular genshin).

My Acheron is E0, has light cone but not SI, so if she comes back I might pull for those E's. With Pela with Resolution Shines and a Preservation unit with Trend of the Universal Market, she's pretty good. My third nihility for that team is Guinaifen, but I plan on choosing Welt for my 300. I have no Black Swan, so my only wind Nihility dealer is Sampo. No Sparkle, but I have Bronya. Luka is also an available Nihility DPS, but he's not good in PF. Jingling single carry with Tingyun is probably a team that I should work on. I don't use Jingliu nearly as much as I did when I first got her, probably because I wanted to play with others 😂

Dont go for break team. Streamers make you think it is easy to get the eidolons for HTB, but it is not. Avoid break teams till this balance is fixed.

It's scary how fast the meta changes in Star Rail, everytime a character launches I have to think if they are worth long term. Oh, this character does not really help me, I can finally skip, and then 1 or 2 patches later they release the most absurd character that REALLY helps the one I skip which by that point became SS tier, the best character ever and I just stand there like "Welp, that's a shame" Edit: Extra points if that character is super niche

​@@shinidragon7775 Using dot as exemple: I skipped Kafka in 1.2 since she only had two possible teammates -> in 1.5 we got HuoHuo, the best healer for her due to the atk buff -> 1.6 we got Ruan Mei that came as a substitute for Asta in the main Kafka team -> 2.0 we got Black Swan which was a major upgrade over Sampo. Also at that same time we got Sparkle bringing back mono quantum and sp hungry units to the spotlight, Acheron right after setting a new level for hypercarry and Aventurine as a direct competition to Fu Xuan and as an upgrade to Gepard, after that we got Robin bringing the follow-up to another level and now we got a rise in break units and are going to get a new end game more focused on hunt units. The meta went from mono quantum to destruction hypercarry to DOT to hypercarry again to follow up and now is entering a Break/Super Break phase Edit: Also sorry if I wrote too much, I swear I just wanted to answer not to make an essay
