I love that hidden hinge on the door to the luggage compartment...I try my best to get inventive with my models too.

I'm loving the videos man. I'm waiting on my SIG Citabria in the mail. It's gonna be a fun build!
@BayonasRCWorld4 жыл бұрын
Yes the Sig Citabria is a awesome and fun kit to build. I had two mishaps with my Citabria and let me tell you this kit built as per instructions is mighty strong! Don't over think the build and try to strengthen places that does not need. Trust me as per building instructions and you will have a awesome plane.

This is a great idea. I wonder how we can apply your door & latch technique with the TF Cessna 182 Interior kit which includes plastic side walls all the way to former F5
@BayonasRCWorld4 жыл бұрын
yeah! My interior kit will be here soon but I decided to make the hatch first. My box behind the hatch is kinda far out! I really did not have to make it that big but I was just going with the flow. Think as I go in other words. When my interior kit arrives I will figure it all out! If anything I could cut it out and redo the box.

Working through adding the door into the TF Cessna. Question do you or did you make a template for the door hinge? Thanks in advance
@BayonasRCWorld7 ай бұрын
Unfortunately I did not because it was many attempts and is basically a custom fit depending on where you made the door cutout and or placement. What I did was made multiple hinges out of just balsa and attached it temporarily to see if it will function properly. Once I got it to do what I needed it I then made the final part out of laminated thin ply.

I’m assuming you built up the fuse then cut the door out and went from there?
@BayonasRCWorld4 жыл бұрын
Pretty much! Just had to think on how to reinforce the area after and that went together as I was thinking it.
@pontiacdriver9994 жыл бұрын
Did you use some kind of foam or something on the door to help it keeps it's shape? I can see that you bulked up the door a bit. Have you considered doing the actual passenger doors as well?
@BayonasRCWorld4 жыл бұрын
@@pontiacdriver999 I used clear lexan sheet and traced the baggage door off the plans. Then cut a square in the middle so I can tape it onto the fuse side while I trace it with the exacto blade little by little until the whole door came off. But first I made a few former to match the fuse curve so thatbIbcan glue it to the door after to hold its shape.
@BayonasRCWorld4 жыл бұрын
@@pontiacdriver999 no I won't be cutting the doors open. If I had planned it better I would have relocated the servos and control rods further back. Then made the wing center piece a permanent part of the fuse top while making both wing panels removable via wing tube. However I was excited to just build the 182 so all that went out the door. Hehehehehe
@pontiacdriver9994 жыл бұрын
Yeah I’m gonna look at the plans and see how difficult it would be to make the wing a two piece and the center section part of the fuse. I haven’t started it yet so I can plan accordingly :)

Outstanding. It appears you made the oil inspection hatch function as well. Will that be used to adjust carb or something? Killer job on luggage door. Nice tip with the latch, been wondering how to make one of those.

i have a qestion: If I have no experience in modeling and have never assembled, even the smallest balsa model, do I have to think about buying a model? the previous model was epp but I had a crash and part of the skeleton was damaged and it is only bundled with other parts which is almost as expensive as this KIT version. so with no experience, do you think i will build this model?
@BayonasRCWorld4 жыл бұрын
To build the Top Flite Cessna 182 without any modeling experience i would advise to atleast build a more simpler balsa kit first. Or a few at least to get use to the procedure, glues, sanding, cutting and all the tools used in building a RC aircraft. However with that said it really depends on the individual. Some could build without experience and others could not.

@@BayonasRCWorld I still have my dad's help, in general I am a very beginner modeler, but he already has some knowledge about it. he never folded the model, but i think he will help me a lot. We also have a place and what do you think, if we actually took something like that and built it, unfortunately once a week, for example for two hours, how long would we be able to finish the project? I need more accessories, can I handle the dedicated ones, glue, epoxid resin, accelerators for glues and putty? possibly a knife and a angle piece? Do I have to take into account a larger expense?
@BayonasRCWorld4 жыл бұрын
@@kpmstudio7001 two hours a day with the help of your Dad who is knowledgeable would be wonderful. Now how long it will take really depends on lots of factors so that is not something I could give you a answer on. I know some guys who are not new to building that took a few months to a year just to build this plane. Especially those who only spend an hour or two on the build at any given day.

Buenas noches..... te voy a molestar con una consultita como hicoste las bisagras de esta puerta? Muchas gracias¡
@BayonasRCWorld2 жыл бұрын
