Beautiful aircraft! Great scale takeoff! Thanks for the video!

Great model. You did a good job on the landings. I just maidened mine. You really have to be just right on landings to keep it from jumping back up on touch down. That can be a disaster.

That looks like a real nice flying model.

I agree. Or if nothing else, turn them off just as you touch down to help prevent bobbing back up again and again.

Beautiful model and nicely flown especially for a maiden. Can't believe it could handle the low speeds so well at the 2:32 mark. I suppose there was some headwind too. I have an electric Black Horse P-40C Tomahawk 60 size ready to maiden. I hope it goes as well as yours!! Congratulations.

Nice job man, I have got to get one soon...

A little bouncy on touchdown, but with your smooth approaches you can mellow it out. Nice job Bub

also ....using Throttle to control Decent, and ELevator to Control speed.... I know it sounds backwards, but it works great for smooth tuchdowns no matter the conditions.

Thanks for the compliment, unfortunately as in all home movies the cameraman never gets videoed. I do actually fly myself but it would be kind of a challenge to fly a plane and shoot video at the same time:) If anyone in Vegas is reading this comment I would love them to use my rig and videotape me myself flying.

I really admire the flyer of having such patience, but as an advise, use minimum of flaps in such high winds to reduce lift while landing and keep the speed on a little higher end.....low flaps would let the plane to drop down and little high speed would let the momentum on the wheels.......

most times I land my P51 with no more than half flaps..or no flaps in a head wind..this p40 floats..it will land great with no flaps, or you will need to keep a little throttle with flaps and fly it to the ground, and keep the flare as long as possible..makes for greaser landings everytime

very nice

Beautiful plane. Touch and goes on a maiden flight? On most of my maidens if I get it down in one piece I don't make another attempt ;-)

In that windy day,is it better to land without flaps? Thanks.
@SrPrOn8 жыл бұрын
just a word: with this warbirds you need to approach in the first quarter of the runway, not 3/4 of it. then you need more throttle and steady fight for the touchdown. if performed correctly it will run at least a quarter of runway with its tail up. watch some WWII videos

i too dont use flaps on a windy day, better with out, and i dont use full flaps on takeoff, why? nose over is not good for prop. still a great flight.

What scale is that bird?

I wouldnt be hauling it around the sky with full flap on and full power Flaps are only deployed on final

Jesus this guy sucks at landing. Maybe time to get back on the .40 trainer.

You, my friend, are an asshole! I would keep my mouth shut, until and unless, I had flown one of these particular aircraft! These are a handful on landing!
