I’ve never been into Gourmands, but this year, i wanted to just feel warm vanilla, but grown up. Gris Charnel was the gateway and is no my signature scent Silky Woods has just been this epic, woody addictive deep vanilla And Fire at Will by Jovoy was really this gently sweet solidly vanilla fragrance. I really want to smell Blanche Bet! I now want a Smokey or Incense heavy vanilla. Sweet but always with a twist. ❤ your videos!

I’ve purchased a lot of designer or high end fragrances last year but honestly bbw midnight amber glow is incredible. I bought the perfume spray in the us recently and love it, can’t find it in stores in Canada tho 🤔

I almost exclusivley wear Kayali Musk and Clean Skin to work. I work in private healthcare and have to be mindful of other peoples sensitivites. My coworkers always tell me I smell good, specifically "warm and comforting". They are truly masterpeice "skin" musk fragrances that I will always have in my collection. Kayali Musk was my second purchase after Vanilla 28. I feel like there is just not enough hype behind Kayal Musk. Merci Charlotte, chef's kiss as always 😘. My favorite discovery was Navitus Chocolate Queen and Le labo Another 13.

I think both of those fragrances are just so perfect for that setting, Jalyn - I would love to smell it on someone else and I can't see them being anything other than comforting and calming. 🥰 So glad to hear about your love for Chocolate Queen and Another 13 - they are both fragrances I really want to try. @@CharlotteRossx I do own Raised Spirits. I’ve only had it for 3 weeks and when I first got it there was barely any scent. It’s mostly smelled of pimento. Slowly, it’s starting to develop and the sweetness is coming out, but I kid you not, it completely disappears in an hour! I’ve been reading a lot of comments that the new releases (Chocolate Queen and RS) have not fully macerated and need time to develop. Why a perfume company would sell a perfume not ready to wear is beyond me 🤦‍♀️. I’m going to give it another few weeks before I make my final decision on RS. But Chocolate Queen was a winner for me! It’s milk chocolate with a hint of booze and a warm, sandalwood/salty base. I get about 4 hours out of it (fingers crossed it develops further too). I hope you get samples and review it! Love to hear your thoughts 💭

Great video 👌 My favorite discoveries 2022 were: Zadig-Voltaire TIH Vibes of Freedom. I got it as soon as it came out and used it nonstop for a month. I have 30ml bottle that I (unconsciously 🤔) am saving, so I will be getting a bigger bottle. It's a fresh/airy fragrance without being citrus freshie. Next one was Jovoy Paris Remember Me, tea and vanilla and spices. Works all year round! Then I fell head over heels with Bvlgari Rock'n'Roma, osmanthus done perfectly (and I Love the bottles). My last obsession is Estee Lauder Oasis Dawn. Spicy fruity fig scent. It's kind of fizzy in the beginning (😍) but it becomes smoother and a little sweeter during the wear. It was perfect around Christmas time. Also love Sensuous Stars from that line, but I haven't bought a bottle yet.

Have you ever tried Oxygene by Lanvin? It’s also very lactonic but in a body lotion sort of way. It’s unusual and I picked it up for such a great price.

I know the accords say spicy but I wouldn’t describe it that way at all, it has a milky body lotion type of scent/texture with clean rose and sandalwood to my nose

Hi! Unfortunately I haven’t smelled Kaleidoscope or Glossier You yet. Based on the « smells like » section of fragrantica it does seem to share similarities with other fragrances I love though like Clean Radiant Nectar, Ariana Grande God is a woman, and Ellis Brooklyn Sweet. I find it interesting because all three of those fragrances I find very similar so I imagine they may have something in common with Kaleidoscope - you should be able to sample/test those ones out at Sephora (Clean and Ellis Brooklyn) and your local pharmacy (Ariana Grande). I myself really want to try out Glossier You this year - if you get a chance to try it, let us know if it’s similar to your beloved Kaleidoscope!

I went and grabbed my sample of Et Voila when you were talking about it since I got it with a set and didn’t really try that one. I sprayed it on my hand and ohhhh my. I don’t hate it and I do like aldehydes sometimes. But the aldehydes in this are so sharp that it makes my eyes water 😂

Wow! Yes, they are very in your face especially in the beginning - let me know what you think of the dry down if you get the chance; I find it gets so much softer and more powdery as it dries down which adds so much contrast to that aldehyde blast. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Kat. 🤗❣️

I wasn’t able to let it dry down earlier so I’ll have to wait for the dry down when I try it again. I think we have similar tastes also- like for example, my favorite of all time fragrance is Zadig & Voltaire This Is Her. 😍🙌

Hi Shirley! I can kind of see what is meant by the plastic note. It smells more to me like a baby’s head - soft musky clean and milky at the same time. It’s possible you might like it because you like this is Her because they share that lactonic quality but they are still very different. For one, the Ghost in the Shell is not at all sweet and it’s also not gourmand. Still, if you like a milky fragrance, also like a clean, even soapy fragrance, and like the idea of those two mixed together, deeefinitely give it a try and sample. I totally understand that - it's definitely TOO lactonic for some. I think it's probably a love or hate kind of fragrance similar to This is Her for similar reasons. Thanks for sharing your feelings on it! 👌🏼❣️

Does anyone know any fragrances that smell like commodity milk without the woodiness? I’m torn because I love the creamy aspect of milk but I’m not a huge fan of wood notes 😢

I totally know what you mean. While I do like it, I find it a bit too woody myself for a « milk » scent (that mahogany note is dense!). Have you tried lait concentré by Chabaud? It’s more milk-like to me but maybe more like condensed milk because it’s also pretty sweet.
