One of the comments by Paolo Catalao said you were faking it. This guy just can't accept the fact that he can't play it like you do 😂

I agree it looks iffy, but I think he's recorded his audio separately to the video and not synchronised it properly. It's definitely not the original recording. I have the same backing track that he's using.

@@gdb8111 for instance, between 01:00 and 01:10 you can see lots of missing pick strokes. Can you tell one example where the guitar track is different from the original?

@@pedrocatalao As I said, this isn't a "live" recording - none of it really matches up. It absolutely, categorically isn't the original as played by Steve Stevens though. I can tell this instantly from the percussion in the introduction. The guitar sound is very different and there are all kinds of subtle differences in the way the notes are played just in the first couple of bars. You asked for one example where it's different. OK - the second of the two harmonics played at 2:06 in the original is not played in the same section here at 2:07. Whoever recorded the audio for this video did a harmonic followed by a slide. I'm curious - do you play guitar?

@@gdb8111 that's true, to be honest didn't even compare it to the original, just assumed that was it because it sounded quite good. I still don't think it is played by the guy in the video, looking at his technique. Yes I play guitar.

@@pedrocatalao Ah, cool - a fellow guitarist! I would say this guy's technique is good, although he seems to make a couple of awkward fingering choices. I still think the most likely thing is that he just recorded the audio separately to the video. As you said earlier, there seems to be a missing pick stroke at 0:39, but his whammy bar dives and slides and vibrato etc seem to match what we're hearing. I hope to finally (after about 20 years!) finish learning this tune myself very soon. Maybe I'll post my rendition on here too and you can let me know what you think. :)
