It is great to have no excessive CGI. Thanks to Mr Cruise since he doesn't like the green screen fake bs and always does the stunts himself.

How did he not get Oscar nominated? Totally unbelievable!

I am not a Tom Cruise fan but I appreicate the wonderful cinematography in the movie and I enjoyed this clip of Claudio Miranda. I did see the movie just for the the cinematography. The story line was very predictable.

unfortunately,... not everyone understands the technical terms used. If you are not in the film industry, you are talking Greek to an Asian.

No matter what he sez, there is still a lot of greenscreen nonsense in that film, with the primarily real stuff, that makes that movie great to look at..

Green and blue screen is and will always be a valuable technique. Visual effects people are also wanting as much realism as possible and new technologies are changing that like Virtual Stages. It's nice to put the actor in an environment he can really react to but it's not always possible, especially on a budget. So it's all well and good to disparage what went before but it also shows a bit of hubris, ignorance and lack of respect from where we've come and still use. Someday AI will also take your job Claudio. Good luck with that when you're obsolete.

All the cameras were Sony and all the prime lenses were Sigma, Arri, Zeiss, etc. How is this a flex for Fuji? It's like seeing a sea of cameras documenting the olympics, but three are Fujis and then all of a sudden people want to claim Fuji shot the olympics. Context matters.

This is not green screen nonsense? Then the flying under the bridge sequence must be CGI because it sure isn't real.
@pabloataniya15482 жыл бұрын
Even the misiles and explotions and shootings are too. They’re not gonna use real missiles or ammo. Nobody understands the point of this movie. It’s no using excessive CGi like others movies. Those are real planes with real pilots with cameras on air. The bridge could be or could not an image but the sensation is Real, the Actors are Amazing and the Movie is the Best of the last 20 years, like it or not.

Of course certain things are CGI, but the overwhelming majority wasn’t… in a film/tv landscape that loves to default to CGI.
