Each body system deals with high glucose differently and has their own ‘magnets’ that can capture and not release glucose. Where in one takes breathing very slowly and steadly by left nostril and closing your right nostril with your right hand and after this exhaled through right nostril and at the same by closing your left nostril and exhaled through left nostril. This cycle is carried out for 15 minutes or the time one is comfortable.Similary there are many breathing techniques. Any trained Yoga teacher will teach and train about these techniques. Very well presented! I'd like to know what drives cancer in the body besides sugar in skinny people with low A1c? I know cancer can feed on glucose or ketones, and ketones are what is produced when you have a low blood sugar. So it seems these don't totally remove the cancer risk.
@miklimecat96362 жыл бұрын
Perhaps take a look at the work of researcher Thomas Seyfried and his metabolic model of cancer. He’s found that all cancers have in common a need for glucose and glutamine to proliferate. Some cancers like more glucose, others like more glutamine. To truly starve a cancer out you need to target both glucose and glutamine. Glucose can be controlled by the diet, but glutamine requires a drug. This metabolic model can possibly work for all cancers because it addresses what they all have in common. Current standards seem to try to treat each cancer as if each was different with almost nothing in common, leading to a gazillion costly drugs and treatments with varying effectiveness.

As a T1D patient for 46 years (plus hypothyroid and MS patient), I have never had better control over my blood sugars, hemoglobin A1C, and MS symptoms until I switched to a Keto diet. In fact, I feel my absolute best when I eat mostly carnivore as fruits and many vegetables spike my blood sugars. My daily insulin intake is down to 30 units per day and my hemoglobin A1C has been kept below 6.2 for a year now. Too bad the ADA has not recognized this diet until very recently to help manage T1D.

I didn't realize the reason fasting is so important, but I'm an athlete. I press heavy weights 3 days a week and intense biking 2 days a week, heavy yardwork 1 day a week. I find myself hungry again by late evening, requiring hard cheese before bedtime despite a keto meal. So does exercise change that fasting window?
@karenbole71302 жыл бұрын
I have a question. If under eating slows metabalism, how can fasting increase it?
@DoctorBoz2 жыл бұрын
The chemistry of the body matters … FIRST - create a setting of vibrant fat-built endocrine system. Then fast. Fix chemistry before fasting.
@debinnashville20092 жыл бұрын
The way I understand it, when you under eat your body thinks you food is scarce and tries to save every little bit of energy it can (through insulin). It increases fat storing and decreases energy used. When you fast the body thinks there is NO food and uses ketones (by burning your fat stores) to make you feel more energized and ready to go out and get more food. The metabolism increases to help you stay alive to go hunt.

NO Nononononono All carbs break down to their building blocks of GLUCOSE No matter where u get it, white sugar or sourdough 100% wholegrain rye bread, Dorian fruit, or whatever is the trendy carb source-it all is made of the same thing. Glucose.

@hannah52452 жыл бұрын
Ok. All carbs break down into glucose. Including table sugar. But my concern was that table sugar and ultra processed flour that goes into making pizza, bread, pasta, donuts, fries, pancakes, are harmful. Whereas eating the whole fruit and whole plant/veggies turns the sugar/glucose into something more healthful! So even if the fruit and veggie was hi in carb, it would still be healthy to eat them because they haven’t been machine processed with all the added colors, preservatives, sodium, etc.
