Solution is actually simple. We need to know how fructose works. It goes right to liver and create fat. Low carb and avoid sugar especially HFCS are key method to fix. When you're doing low carb diet, add fat from coconut in order to get C8 MCT which can go right to liver and convert to ketones. Actually, fat on liver can be stripped off during the process. This is what I do to fix fatty liver and cut GSPT (liver enzyme) from 117 in March to 46 in July

@@TheOliviadevon Same. I’m in my mid 30s, fall between a healthy weight and was recently diagnosed with fatty liver (high liver enzymes lead to an ultrasound). When I got the diagnoses from my MD all she said was, “change diet by reducing carbs & exercise. This is very common and something that can be easily reversed.” My problem is, I’ve never dieted. I just eat what I want whenever. So her saying “reduce carbs” meant “only one donut not two” or “one slice of toast instead of two”. I left feeling like it was no big deal. I read my imaging report and my liver was 16 cm. An average female liver is around 7 (?!!?) cm 🤦🏽♀️😭 “no big deal” “just reduce carbs” 🙄 not helpful. Glad I’m doing my own research!!

@mj625 Жыл бұрын
Per Dr. Robert Lustig, it should be less than 25. The normal reference range on your test actually says normal should be less than 40 or 50. However, the "normal" range was actually less than 25 back in the 70s and 80s. Over time, as society has become unhealthy, the "normal" range has shifted to a higher value. This higher value does not mean it's optimal for human health.

It is inaccurate to claim NAFLD does not exist. It is a valid medical diagnosis. It is also inaccurate to claim at a certain stage it's incurable. The liver is one organ in your body that can regenerate itself assuming you make lifestyle changes. That is the only part of your statement I agree with. In studies it has been shown to lower both blood sugar and blood pressure. Last time I made it with green tea. Also using coconut oil brings it down. Both glucocorticoid antagonists. You do not have to be in ketosis to reverse fatty liver. You simply need to reduce your overall energy intake to allow your body to use stored energy. You can do this by reducing carbs or fat, but the most efficient way is the P:E diet (high protein, low carb and low fat) combined with resistance training. If anyone watching this is new to keto, I recommend going to Ted Naiman's channel right away before you go too far down the keto rabbit hole.

@@donwinston Ancel Keys left us with the erroneous notion that if we eat fats we will become fat, and that therefore we should reduce the amount of fats that we eat. His research for the Seven Countries Study was seriously 'flawed' since the results from three countries didn't fit his theory, and he left them out. France Denmark and Norway I think, and they have plenty of 'healthy' fats in France, such as olive oil, cheese etc. What he was trying to say was that we should reduce saturated fat, and I think that this still stands. (At least he got something right..!!) So we reduced fats, and what happened ? We now have an Obesity epidemic, as well as Type2 Diabetes in children. Why is this? We reduced fats, and to make things more 'palatable', added sugar, and subsequently corn derived fructose, which causes mayhem in the liver. A perfect storm!! Carbohydrates probably more than three times a day, with raised Insulin levels (Insulin Resistance or Hyperinsulinaemia), and then the excess calories are converted to triglycerides and deposited into the fat cells. If only things were simple...!! There's some radical re thinking needed, and not many people even understand the problem, even those who produce 'Guidelines'. And how can people change, when they can drive to the Supermarket in their large cars and stack up their trolleys with all of the 'wrong' things. Sugar is sometimes described as 'addictive'. We have been Telling people to do the wrong things for at least forty years, and there are now many 'vested interests' to try to keep it as it is. Agriculture, the Food Industry, Drug Companies (Many doctors don't understand all of these things, and how can they advise their patients appropriately...?) The message is gradually 'getting out', and some people are managing to 'turn their lives around', but there's a tremendous 'way to go'.... I am a retired GP and it grieves me every time that I see anyone struggling to get around, carrying all that fat, but what can I do about it ? Nothing, other than try to 'spread the word'.... Enjoy your day....
