@@SachsVDE a quick funny story . My dad's polish friend who had more jokes than days of the year. So he worked for TWA airlines and took his family to a baseball game at old Busch stadium in St Louis. So he went to the concession stand and ordered 4 hot dogs , 4 Cokes and 4 peanuts. The concession agent tells him that will be $40. So he repeats his order , 4 hot dogs etc etc. Again the agent says $40. So he repeats his order a 3rd time! This was in the 1980s and before prices went crazy everywhere. And he was very cheap but funny as hell!

Sitivien knives, and Eafengrow, are made in different plants in China. The better ones,in my experience, are the ones made in a plant called Hansa. This plant makes the Ganzo Firebird and Free Tiger knife brands. The D2 steel in the Ganzo's were tested. The HRC on most of them were over 60HRC. This is really good.bettern than alot of Bestech and Civivi knives which cost much more. It wouldn't surprise me if the Sitivien and Eafengrow knives made in the Hansa plant are using the same D2 steel. Unfortunately this model, and the Sitivien ST128 weren't made in the Hansa plant. Jufule is one of the other big knife producers in China. And the models you're reviewing is probably made in one of their plants. 14C28N is a decent steel, though it's not as hard. The HRC Rockwell hardness is between 56-58. But it sharpens easier and is very easy to bring back to razor sharpness by just using a ceramic honing rod, which I highly recommend. The Sitivien ST128 was a previous known model made by Y Start knives, the JIN02. Y start id a very good manufacturer. The make the well reviewed and popular Two Sun knives, which can cost into the hundreds. The models I highly recommend, made in the Hansa Plant, can be recognized by the same pivot screws and pocket clips being used on these two brands, and on the Ganzo Firebirds and Free Tigers. Here they are, in Sitivien, the ST102,The ST141(one of my favorites, made a little better than the other models,),ST126,ST127,ST131,St151,ST152 (one of their best bigger knives.very thin behind the edge,it's a shredder, and came extremely sharp, made of K110 D2,which is higher quality). In Eafengrow, the EF954,EF964,EF934 (if you want something different and unique, check out this nested liner multi angle Wharncliffe!),EF957. The older model Eafengrow knives aren't as good and I would be careful in buying them.Especially the ones with the anodized blue pivot and body screws, which strip easily. There are other Eafengrows with the same pivot screws and pocket clips. Some of them are axis lock designs. These are good also, like the older Ganzo knives, which the budget knife collectors endorsed and labeled "best bang for the buck" for years. Now these knives above are all under $30 on Amazon with free Prime shipping. The best of the Sitiviens I have are the ST127,The ST141 (my favorite because of the ergos, the blade shape, thin behind the edge so it cuts real good), The ST152, thinner flat handle (some like that more, like Civivi knives are) K110 D2,but very nice thin flat grind and very thin behind the edge grind, and came extremely sharp from the factory!). Now notice the pivot screw on the ST152,it's different than the other models you were showing. The Sitivien and Eafengrow knives I listed above all have the same pivot screws, body screws, and sometimes, the same exact pocket clips. The other Sitivien knife I bought just before the St152 was the ST141. Made in the Hansa plant and has the same pivot screw and hardware as the ST152. The polished liners on these Hansa made knives are also different than the Jufule knife liners which aren't polished. I actually like the ST141 better than the ST152. I like thicker and more rounded knife handles as opposed to flatter thinner handles. The ST152 is like the Civivi Praxis, but cheaper, and better steel. If the ST141 would have ceramic ball bearings in it,it could easily be labeled Petrified Fish or Bestech, which are my favorite knife brands right now. The quality is there, like you noticed on the ST152. Now the Eafengrow models I listed above are just as good.I especially like the EF954. It came extremely sharp and has a great grind for edc use.The blade is a little shorter as I tend to like bigger knives personally. Knives that are tactical but also somewhat practical. You might want to check them out as well. There are so many knife reviewers out there and I consider them knife nerds. The seem to be impressed with these grandpa knife shapes, some look like a barber shop razor blade. What's up with that? Some of the other designs are down right ugly. And here's the thing,Ill be 65 this year. I'm grandpa age. But I don't want a knife that looks like it'll cut a piece of cheese well,or just cardboard or string! Who's impressed with that? I guess knife nerds. I like knives that will make a guy think twice if he wants to mug me,or car jack me. A knife that says don't f_---k with me or you'll regret it. Do you realize how much the crime rate is soaring in the big cities right now? Especially in place like San Francisco, Chicago, Seattle, etc. If you're not going to conceal carry a gun,a knife is your next best choice. Fortunatley for me,I have enough of a martial arts background where I can make deadly use of the right knife. I had a quadruple bypass and heart valve repair done six years ago, which highly impacted my physical strength to the point where I'd need a knife. Another thing. I don't like knives with a thick behind the edge measurement. .21 is the limit for me,but I prefer between .15 and .17 for D2. 14c28n is softer so I can see .17 to .21. I hope this helps. The knives I listed above don't have real thick behind the edge grinds.

As someone who is new to the world of knives, I really appreciate how well you describe the knives in terms that everyone can understand. The same with your multi tool videos. I do have a question: Have you tried TacKnives before? I've heard a lot about them, so I got a traditional pocket knife from them, and it was awful. They say that they have all new versions of it, but I'm skeptical. I got an out the front knife from them that wasn't bad, but I was curious what your take is on them vs. other "budget " knives like the ones in this video.

No hollow grinds, some of us use our blades harder then others. For a hunting and skinning blade? Yes hollow grind that blade. The recurve blade on st147 is NOT silly and impractical, that blade is great for cutting rope, straps, webbing. Maybe impractical and silly for your use. St152 in brown and green are micarta not g10, black and jade are g10

I bought the ST-152 which IMO is a high value amazing knife for the $28.00 I paid for it on Amazon three weeks ago in very nice looking brown Micarta (currently sold out). The ball bearing pivot system is buttery smooth as silk both opening and closing, the German K110 (D2) steel comes scalpel sharp!, full flat blade is beautiful, G10 back spacer, no sharp edges anywhere.. liners flush with the scales, no blade play at all, no light but not overly heavy A surprisingly excellent high value folder for under $29.00. The general opinion in other video reviews is this is superior to other Sitivien knives that came before this.

Where are these knives made China, Taiwan, Vietnam or somewhere outside of Asia all together? I don't know what the knife at the 4.30 minute mark with the k110 blade steel is called but I really enjoy the blade shape and the blade grind of just nearly a full flat grind. The features of the knife make the knife look like it costs far more than it actually costs. Just gotta love a fighter that can fight well above there own weight class.

I really like your videos and as a knife collector/connoisseur I am 100% glad I found your channel and so far your reviews seem spot on!!! I also love that you don’t do like other channels and focus on Case/Gerber/Sypder/k-bar/buck or some other common major manufacturers knives. My EDC is a Yellow handle skim-line trapper from CASE, CV not SS(the SS is great but the CV holds the edge so much better for an EDC, plus once the blade starts that patina it gives every single one their own character). I am hoping to see some videos comparing the major manufacturers against some of these “lesser known” manufacturers. Keep up the great work.
