This is supposed to be a modified sonic rom hack made up to solve the puzzle about the assassinations of 5-6 kids (I don't remember), John Walter is the person who committed all those crimes and made the rom hack itself, in the V4 of the song it gives more context about it, like John Walter revealing that he kilIed h1mself. I don't remember to much and maybe so they changed a little bit of his lore lol

Let me explain it to you. Sonic 1 cartridge hacked to be in the NES style, dives into the murders of John Walter and displays pixelated decomposing bodies of 5 dead children. He did it for "True Salvation". Creator aka. John Walter turns it into an elaborate but twisted puzzle to be solved. John poisons himself to not be captured.
