I've gotten 20+ questions all to the effect of: Why no Razor 1-6x SFP HD. It's a good scope, trust me, I had one for 3 years. But on a recommend list, it's not really a stand out scope as it once was. It's stand out feature (bezeless amazing 1x) is handled by the PLX-C for 200-300 bucks more, while being a fully fledged out FFP design. If you need red dot bright, the PLX-C nova has that handled while also weighing 17oz not 23oz while being 1-8x. If you want to not spend 1500/don't like the PLX-C the delta Stryker 1-6x is almost the same scope as the razor, while costing 850, and weighing 6oz less. The 1-8x Vudu is also a very similar design for less money, with a 1-8x. I also think wire frame style reticles leave a lot to be desired in the LPVO category because they are very thick, obscure detail on small targets at range, which is why I prefer the Credo 1-6x SFP over all of these. I get why people like red dot bright, it's why I have a elcan. But with a LPVO, I personally don't care that much for red dot bright when it comes with the downsides that it does (shit battery, limited reticle).

@@firstbeforelast433 the nova HAS TO BE SFP. Fiber bright free standing reticles cannot be FFP. The FFP rds bright scopes like the razor/atacr etc are all going to add about 500 bucks to the manufacturing cost. So the PLXC Nova FFP would just be atacr price at that point.

Hey nice video ! If I can ask based on your experience, I was ready to buy a new scope and I arrived to the conclusion that an lpvo or mpvo is the way to go for me. I have a ar, 20 inch barrel, 556 with M855 most of the time and a rec-10 at some occasions. The scope is for the AR and it is mostly for recon max 700m and except general shooting that happened to go above, I used for precise shots at max 300. But, I still need it for less than 50 meters (CQB). The recon is very important to me and I really to be able to see the difference of a guy holding a grenade, rock, Molotov, or just a soda. But the fact that I still need for close combat made my choice a bit hard even if I am ready to pay the price.

Still rocking a P4Xi, glass is just too good. Got it used for a steal with a mount. 4x cant compete with the 6x scopes anymore though. Everyone seems to want 6x minimum or no deal.

You really gotta get your hands on a March 1.5-15 DFP, it is a kick ass scope. I've been using mine in all sorts of matches (proof on channel) and in my opinion it is the ultimate "Do All" rifle optic, given certain POU constraints(such as opting to only use 1 optic and not running an offset/piggyback dot). The Dual Focal Plane reticle really does give you the best of both FFP and SFP, at the cost of, well, cost.

I use a Schmidt&Bender 1-8 dual focal plane reticle in FFP and red dot in SFP. The scopes in the video are mostly made by light optical works somewhere in asia.

have you looked at the Arken LPVO or is it just based off one of the optics mentioned in the video?

I really like the vector continental 1-6x24i fiber scope I picked up on BF sale for 350 much more than the SLX. I run a credo hx 1-6 and plxc on my main setups. I've been looking more at 2-10x scopes with a piggyback dot.

I got the PLx-C in yards and it's good, although I'd probably get the meter version in the future. The picture sort of loses it on 7 - 8x though. I wish now that I'd spent the extra $500 and got a March compact since it has AO. That would be a gamechanger on an LPVO.

I've been using the Razor Gen 2e 1-6 for a few years, and thought the PLXC would be a good upgrade. I bought one and took it on one range trip and it got condesation internally and now I see a large dried waterspot when it's illuminated. The mount was torqued correctly so I'm not sure how it happened. It's covered by warranty, but its pretty discouraging and don't really trust it for durability now. Because of this my Razor Gen 2e 1-6 is still my favorite.

Vector Optics' Continental line runs about 350-400 with German Glass (in a Chinese tube). Looks like a Viper PST killer for a quarter pound lighter...if you trust the brand. Edit: forgot to mention they offer bright fiber optic reticles too.

Where would the PLXc Nova fall here, in your eyes? Or is it something you're planning a review on? I have yet to find any in depth reviews on it yet, which is surprising, considering the hype it had, pre-release. Thanks!

I still love my PA 1x6. I can shoot and hit within my house size and I can hit a man sized target at 300 yards. Good luck saying they suck. BTW I miss those dry mountains by the lake. Hills have eyes scary but fun to hike. Nice to see snow on the Wasatch too.
