Goodal and Klavuu (Korean brands) also make sunscreen/tone up creams. Both have SPF 50 PA++++, and temporarily lighten up your skin tone. However, it only works if your skin tone is fair-light medium. Otherwise, it would leave an obvious white cast and ashy look.

I love the Numbuzin tone up SPF! 💕I’ve been using it for the past 2 weeks, it’s such a pretty finish. If you’re not a fan of shiny glass skin…definitely use a powder over it.

I think I should just switch to Korean/Japanese makeup entirely because my skin is so fair that US makeup doesn’t often come in my shade and I’ve always been able to find super pale makeup in Japanese/Korean stores

I have the numbuzin Spf but it is so finicky on me!! It looks beautiful at times and terrible at other times. Urgh!! And it balls up around my nose and chin area.

Hey! I don’t know if you will see or reply to this, but I got that numbuzin BB cream after watching this video because it seemed like exactly what I was looking for. So far, I’ve just had the worst time with it…it flakes and cakes weirdly on my skin. It’s almost exclusively happening around my mouth, cheeks, and nose, so I think it’s related to dryness. But sometimes I think maybe it also doesn’t layer well on top of moisturizer. I’ve tried it over Aveeno Oat Gel, I’m from Mugwort cream, CeraVe PM, and also over the Rovectin treatment lotion. Today was actually the best day - last night I slept with CosRx overnight rice mask and this morning I just used Missha FTE (which just acts like water on my skin, maybe slightly more hydrating), and it’s dry and cakey in a few spots but less than yesterday. I’m just wondering if you have any tips on how to wear it? Maybe some tricks you use? There are almost no reviews of it so I’d appreciate any tips!! I want to make it work; it’s exactly the product I’ve been looking for!!

I have never tried a tone up cream that didn't end up being too drying or losing its "tone up effect" after a few hours. Since this one has actual pigment, I'm guessing that the colour stays... But do you find it drying at all?

I completely agree about the fact it’s difficult to get a good brown eyeliner ! 9 out of 10 are so dark they seem to be black 🥲. Thanks for your recommendation about the Visée liner ! I just checked their website and apparently, there’ll launch a new one in softer colors in February 😏

You made me curious about the mascara. I normally just don’t care for mascara because I have the straight (hard to keep curled up), fine/not a lot of it eyelashes so mascara never gives me a “wow” effect. They all kind if feel similar and I go more by the style of brush over formula. I don’t do waterproof for the same reason as you as I don’t want to struggle taking it off but I might give this one ago per your recommendation! ^_^ The first item, the tinted cream with sps sounds awesome. It reminds me of origins tinted moisturizer a bit the way you described it but as usual with western brands the spf in that one isn’t as high ,which is okay for gray winter here but not good enough when it’s actually bright and sunny. I have warm undertone/yellow and Asian brands tend to lean more pinkish so it might not match me but I’m determined to give it a go cause it sounds so good! Maybe it will work!

I don’t need foundation or bb cream for my face ( my skin isn’t perfect). I mix my cream sunscreen with my tone up sunscreen for my face(tone up sunscreen on it own is too much for me so i mix it to tone it down), a bit of concealer, some tinted eye brow gel and some lip color and it good for the day.

I’ve been using The Face Shop Natural Sun power long-lasting sun cream for years. It’s the same concept-a “brighten up” sheer coverage spf 50+. It’s perfect since I’m very fair and don’t like a lot of makeup. I love the other Numbuz:n products so I really want to try their Tone Up, hoping it’s the same (or better) than the Face Shop product.

Wow that numbuzin product looks really ideal for me!! Do you know your foundation shade in any Western foundations?? I’ve not yet tried Asian foundations/bases (too scared about the color match), but my skin is pretty fair and neutral (Make Up For Ever Y225 is my perfect shade). It’s not super obvious! In darker lighting it can look essentially black - but when the light hits it, it is definitely noticeable. I have overhear lights at work so people always notice then 🤣

Any tips for the Numbuzin 3 tone up not creasing?? It broke up and settled into lines like crazy by the end of the day for me, and I barely even have lines. I’ve heard you have to treat it like makeup, not your spf, and don’t apply much at all, using a regular spf underneath. What is the best base for this product in that case and best way to apply? It’s been sitting in my cabinet in favor of the loreal tinted serum because i just got tired of the creasing after hours of wear. Is the No 1 tone up better? Tips please!

Hi girl! Same problem here… i even bought the no1 thinking it could be better, don’t do the same mistake. It is even drier and the color is totally white! Even if you use a peadl amount it makes you look literallu white, not a nice white and light glow but a really unhealthy white

Hmm. I have been wanting a glitter palette without knowing that is what I have been wanting :D I am very afraid, because my skin on my body got super itchy on LUSH glitter and my eyelids only had ABH glitter, Glossier glitter, KvD glitter and JS glitter and after all of those, after the first hour it started to sting. So compared to western glitter, is Asian glitter different? :D Help. :D

For some reason I find the Japanese and Korean makeup is too light and fades so easily compared to western brands, like the lip and eye products don't have much pigment like Western brands like Urban Decay, Fenty, NARS etc so I've never bought Asian makeup other than the Japanese high end ones like Shiseido. Although I prefer Asian brands for skincare, I much prefer Western brands for makeup as I find them better quality

I disagree with you. Try the Heroine Black eyeliner if you can find it and let me know if you think that is not the best liquid liner you’ve ever tried. I’m a Western makeup product junkie- so I’ve tried em all. I haven’t dabbled much into the eyeshadows for JBeauty or KBeauty. But speaking for the eyeliner, some of us Asians have monolids so we need something highly pigmented and doesn’t smudge. As for lip products I can’t speak to that. I’m a Buxom, NARS, MakeupForever, Fenton, Marc Jacobs, Anastasia lip gal.

@@maristo9309 I used that as well and hated it, I had to bin it. Maybe I got a defective or old product, but the pigment was poor. In general I do not like Asian makeup as it's too light and natural for my tastes. I prefer the colourful and pigmented products in western makeup, and also how we cater for so many shades. Asian makeup only caters for very white and fair skin, which is what I hate about it as it's not inclusive, so I do not want to support their products
