Regarding the mountain biking accident, don't teams have clauses in drivers' contracts specifying what off track activities (mountain biking, freestyle skiing etc.) are prohibited? If I were a team owner, I certainly would insist on that. If the driver objected, don't sign and try to get a ride elsewhere.

He definitely had a clause about missing races for outside injuries, which is why they eventually fired him.

His contract had a clause where if he missed four races, he would be released

He's still using the Arrow McLaren facilities to rehab his injury, but it's healing at a slower rate than the Doctor's have predicted. He's got the pins out of his arm, but I think his last update is that he'd be good for Mid-June.

Yes, Indianapolis Motor Speedway is considered by many, the greatest race course on the planet...and by many, I mean actual race car drivers, race team owners, and the millions upon millions who have attended the Indy 500. Fun Fact: IMS and the 500 mile race were over 35 years old before Formula 1 even existed.
