Aidan, you can make a lateral pass or a backward pass ANYTIME from anywhere. It's a holdover from American Football's beginnings in Rugby. You can only pass the ball forward once per play from behind the line of scrimmage.

To be fair to #10 on the Patriots, Mac Jones, is the quarterback, and most QB's won't risk arm or shoulder injuries by going for hard tackles on interceptions or fumble recoveries.

There are a lot more missed tackles now that players have to pull up and not it head to head. They're grabbing with their arms now to not be penalized for targeting and more receivers and running backs are just running through defenses.

The Giants offensive line was HORRIBLE . Glowinski ,the Giants right guard , graded out to ONE POINT ,that is on a scale of 100 and only one point more than if NOBODY was playing the position .,by far the worst grade for an offensive lineman I have ever seen ,but the rest of their line was bad also
