Untamed Tackle Jigs have the best skirts! The thin silicone makes them 'breathe' really well. When you broke out the new jig and the redtail hawk screamed, that was endorsement enough for me!

Dadgumit I just knew you were gonna bring out the new baby human. I bet money he can skip a jig already. Gonna have to show him off sooner or later. You guys aint moving anywhere now. Nanna Gma and Gpas aint gonna let that happen. Congrats again. #justdontsuck #justgettinstarted

Although I have had a couple of my bait keepers actually slide down the hook after a LOT of skipping. Has this ever happened to you?

I have had that. When you hit a post hard enough it can crack it. I’ve had it happen a couple times but only after I smash a post

Up here in southern NY been using the Ace off deep points (15-25 feet) to catch bass in johnboat tourneys. Really looking forward to the new jig, only complaint about Ace is it grabs the weeds.

Kyle, I’m looking hard at your ace jig. I like the design but I have a question. How’s the gap between the hook eye and point? Is there plenty of bite there?

I know while flipping and skipping you generally want heavier line. My question is it easier to skip with heavier line or lighter line using a bait caster? For example 12lb.line vs 20lb. line. or is there no difference?
@brianpierson770811 ай бұрын
I am teaching my son right now and I find the heaver line is better 18# to 22# an I spooled up with 12#mono then pull off around 100’ tie my 20#FC. And about a foot before the knot spools I take a pice of clear tarp like for gift rap tape and put 2-3 raps then spool the FC on that way WHEN YOU BLOW IT UP lol its faster and easy to pick out if its bad and can’t be an you cut it out you not 50-60+ yards off just 20-30 yards if you skipping close around stuff like 20’to30’ or 40’-50’ just put that amount on top or if you have a reel with braid on it and can tie the FG knot it’s even better because it lays on the spool smother then anything else with that bigger top shot on it or you can spool up normally and pull some out and tape it. Or not tape it at all that’s up to you I been skipping since the late 80’s and can’t skip with a Ambassador 6000 or anything and still if I’m on a skipping bite I tape up because every one is going to blow em up 1-2 times a day if they head down fishing so that’s why I do it it’s saved me thousands on line over the years and 100’s of hours fishing so don’t get mad or angry about it when it happens just laugh at out and have fun the biggest one of your life is only one cast away and the more cast you make the sooner that one will get there to brother hope this helps you in some way or the other have a safe fall and winter holidays and marry Christmas 🤙🏼🤙🏼🙏🏼
@davidharris403011 ай бұрын
@@brianpierson7708 Thanks! That is why I asked this question because I very rarely go above 12 lb test because I can cast it so much further. I will give that a try. Happy Holidays to you and family!
@bradleyrussell197311 ай бұрын
@@brianpierson7708you should investigate the Bill Dance backlash removal method. Refrain from pulling on the loops on the spool firstly! Second, crank the drag ALL THE WAY DOWN. Third: place your thumb over the spool covering as much of the spool as possible. Fourth: apply all the pressure you can while being able to crank the reel handle. It should be VERY hard to turn it, but make a couple of hard cranks. Then disengage the reel and LIGHTLY pull line from the front of the reel. DO NOT tug on any loops on the spool. Short tugs on the line a foot in front of the reel will release the over-run almost every single time!! I have shown this method to people for decades, and EVERYONE was surprised how well it works. Randy Blaukat recently posted a video showing this technique. Try it!!!

What kind of chances would there be for the flipping jig to be offered in a bulk package? Jig head only no skirts, for the people that like to tie their own skirts.
