That helped me a ton. A lot of people talk jigs. But never have broken them down like that. Thank you. That was awesome.

Hey Kyle new subscriber here, I’ve been watching your videos for some time now and watching so many of them I thought I was subscribed but I wasn’t I made sure I was, anyways I’ve got to say I’m 59 years old from southeast Missouri and fished all my life, I’ve fished tournaments and considered myself a decent angler, I say that I very much enjoy your videos, and have learned more watching the videos than any others I’ve seen, I want to say thank you cause I used your swim jig technique and caught 3 bass, one the biggest of the day(3 pounder) on a terrible windy day on the lake, sorry about my comment being so long, again thanks and keep the vids coming

I am glad you like the videos. I am coming to Missouri soon. I'll be on lake of Ozarks oct 10-11. Swimjig is an absolute killer. I am glad it caught you some

Love your videos, you’ve been my favorite Bassmaster Elite angle since you started the elites!!! Mainly due to your videos and you can just flat catch em’!!! I used to jig fish almost exclusively but got away from it for some reason. My question is, I’m going to pour my own jigs and want to know what hook you’d recommend for 3/8 and 1/2’s?

Awesome video dude love all of your videos several years ago I used a jig that the strands were rubber but the diameter was like 3 or 4 times the size as normal and less strands and it was 3/8 size was the best jig ever can't remember who made them and never see them anymore

When fishing rock walls with big gaps would you prefer a cross eyed jig or a inline jig ?
@KyleWelcher6 жыл бұрын
Cross eye for sure. I always prefer the cross eye unless i am swimming a jig
@kennethbeard8816 жыл бұрын
Where are you getting those jigs with such a big hook gap. All the ones I've seen are basically streamline with the eye.

Awesome ! This video just reminded me of the two big fish i lost this past winter on a jig. I set the hook saw the side of the fish and then the jig flew out. Damn the ones that get away !

We can get caught up in all the different styles of jigs. I was guilty of it when i was younger but now, outside of a swim jig, i throw one jig all exclusively and thats the Strike King DB structure jig. With the cobra head it works in everything but grass. It's the best dock skipping jig I've ever thrown.

Thanks for the master class on jig fishing. I've never heard about the "hook gap" before and that makes sense. Is jig fishing applicable in Central Florida? Did you use a jig on the Harris Chain. Again, I'm semi new at the game and trying to figure out the best techniques for my area! Keep the informative videos coming and good luck.
@KyleWelcher6 жыл бұрын
i used a swimjig a little but didn't catch anything significant on it. i am sure they would bite a flipping jig or casting jig under docks i just didn't have time to experiment.

YOUR NEW ACE JIG LOOKS SWEET, BUT ITS AWFUL CLOSE TO BEING A STAND UP HEAD WHICH IN THIS VIDEO YOU STATE THAT YOU DONT LIKE THEM BECAUSE OF HOOK GAP. JUST WANDERING WHY YOU HAVE THE HOOK ON THAT ANGLE?
@KyleWelcher3 жыл бұрын
I don't like stand up jigs because usually the hook point and line tie are in the way of each other. In my jig we kept a 60° so it protects the knot and comes through cover but the hook we found has the 60 and the good hook gap
@awbassfishing39553 жыл бұрын
@@KyleWelcher Im still going to order mine. Ive been watching you for awhile and you know what your doing pretty good. and are a great fisherman, I guess I was expecting more like a 30 degree line tie.
