@@user-mv9ob2vn3v Hey, I’ve lived in Fayetteville my entire life, only very recently I moved out and I miss it very much! I’m not a huge real estate guy and I barely remember much of my research for when I did live there. There’s a few things I would actually advise you on. The city is generally pretty safe, but there’s areas I would recommend you avoid living in (unless you really need to). 1)The Wedington area, especially past the highway. Crossing over into the side where the U of A is located will mean you will have to deal with really bad rush our traffic, and many parts of it can be really sketchy. There’s some nice parts, and I imagine a lot of the housing is affordable, but it’s not the best place. 2) Some streets will have a lot of duplexes, and while not all are bad, places such as Dawn Street typically will have a lot of petty crime, and occasionally serious crime. There’s a lot of relatively cheap apartments, but just scope the areas out and make sure they aren’t too rough. Again, it’s not like you’re moving into a really bad place, and I don’t mean to sound any bit discriminatory. If you’re wanting any advice, feel free to let me know the general area you’re looking at, or if you’d need any help researching affordable places. Sorry I’m a bit tired, don’t mean to be so incoherent. Welcome to Arkansas, and I really hope you and your husband enjoy it!

@-someone15602 жыл бұрын
@@user-mv9ob2vn3v I’m really sorry to hear that happened, I’m glad you are safe though. I should have mentioned Walker Park can be suspicious, I just didn’t know for sure if things had improved. Growing up, that area was much worse than it is now, the city has been really investing into redeveloping. I typically avoid the areas that go past Fayetteville High School or Ramay Jr High, those areas are definitely more risky to go to, with not much actually worth going out there for. (I’m really bad at describing, but I think you may know what I mean). The outer fringes of the city definitely tend to be more dangerous, only exception would be headed past McNair/Vandergriff since that are is just rich neighborhoods.

Hey idk if you will see this or not but I am thinking of moving to Fayetteville from Texas and just wanted to know a few things. Is there good places to float the river, like places that have bars and rent tubes out by the river where everyone goes and floats on weekends? I just will miss the bars along the rivers and everyone having a good time floating in tubes down the river and having concerts and float fest. I also would like to know if the nightlife is fun in Fayetteville, in Texas it is amazing and I wonder if it would be comparable? Also is there plenty of concerts from famous artists and events like wurst fest/Oktoberfest, Christmas events, com-icons, just fun events in general a-lot? Sorry for so many questions but I am fairly young and just wonder if it would be a fun place to live and also make friends because I will know nobody there and wouldn’t wanna be lonely moving to a new place, also hopefully there are plenty of single lady’s as well lol.

There are some awesome places to go float within an hour of Fayetteville. The Buffalo River is my favorite. There aren’t any bars along the river so you’ll have to bring your own (plastic or cans only). Not much tubing, it’s pretty much canoeing and kayaking. Fayetteville has some pretty decent nightlife. Not many dance clubs, but lots of bars. George’s Magestic lounge gets some good shows, and the AMP in Rogers gets a lot of larger tours.

Minority, Immigrant, Went there for School. This was my experience: Pros: 1. Quiet Environment, which made it a suitable environment to study. 2. Cheap Rent. (However, my Landlord's family were scammers from California, who made cheaply-made apartments, hiked prices, and never gave students their deposit.) 3. Public Transportation was available for everyone. Paid by students in their tuition and fees, so everyone in the city got to ride the bus. 4. The homeless and less fortunate people are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Very kind and helpful. Cons: 1. Confederate Flags (self-explanatory) 2. Lack of Diversity. Mostly spoiled, rich white kids, a sprinkle of black Americans, a sprinkle of international students. 3. Dry. Absolutely nothing to do in the city besides hiking, museum, and that BBQ place on the hill. 4. The sorority and fraternity gas was overwhelmingly suffocating. 5. Small city surrounded by racist towns. It is Arkansas.
