@@Korpus_Draige The first time they nerfed it was because you could kill by changing between the pistol and the sniper (don't remember the names) and it was an insta-kill over medium distances and you could only counter it if the enemy missed.

The PC / Console balance has gotten so bad that virtually everyone I used to play with on console has just stopped playing with PC players. I get that PC players want to be as good as possible, so take advantage of the various exploits available to them. Bu they shouldn't get bent out of shape when console players ultimately get sick of it and stop playing on mixed servers. I've heard a few PC players complaining about the filters now available to Xbox players, but I totally get why they don't want to play with PC players anymore.

A single sword slash knocks people off of ladders if I'm not mistaken! I can't remember if it was always like that or not, and maybe I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure I recall being surprised by it working, and playing "Ladder Whack-A-Mole" on 2 people trying to board me from both ladders at nearly the same time while I was solo slooping. If so, it can be a huge help when it comes to multiple boarders, or even a single enemy who quickly grabs the ladder again before you're able to reload a firearm!

To give the castaway and seafarer chests another purpose. Put a bunch on your capstan until you have to *search* for the lower anchor option. This makes it slightly trickier for boarders to drop it.

I usually use sword purely for its movement capabilities. Hold block and then hold sword lunge and you will be able to move freely and also be able to jump while lunging. Also if you do this lunge and strike the ground right before jumping you propel yourself forward. Cuts a bunch traveling to and from the boat.

A nice sword lunge trick I found... hold block, and do a dodge jump just after you hold attack to start the lunge. The lunge wind up continues thru the jump dodge and gives them a lil less time to react

I literally always do a regular jump when charging the lunge, +i always do a jump lunge, even when it's not necessary. Idk, it just feels right to me (and it's also a good practice). I also like to use the jump to get into the best position for the jump, while charging.

I run sword and blunderbuss or sword and flintlock because the sword is good for a lot of things in general and the blunder I keep because close range is all I try to fight or if someone I know is playing away from me I take a flintlock instead of a blunder so I can hit them better.

Is there a tip for finding ships that don’t always run away? My wife and I are in a Sloop and have been itching for a fight for days. Ironically the only thing that has actually came at us head on was another sloop. We had a galleon attack us at a skull fort (finally, we’ve done 3 skull forts completely uncontested) and we sunk it with relative ease, with a powder keg and a sneaky boarding with her distracting on the sloop. We’ve had several galleons and brigs run away, and when the new update came out we tried the new reapers chest thing and NOBODY tried anything. We just want to practice PvP, and have had very few opportunities to actually do it

Not really a helpful tip because of how situational it has to be but if you drink too much grog and start throwing up, pull out your bucket and throw up in it. then you could use that to blind enemy pirates by throwing it on them. This could help by disorienting an attacker and could land you a easy kill or they might fall off the boat since they have no idea where to go exactly. And if theres multiple enemies welll...you might start a chain reaction of pure puking chaos if your lucky enough. Works well against boarding crews but watch where you throw your barf, crewmates could be blinded too if your not careful.

Hey just want hitboc to see this so please draw attention to it; I have recently came up with a new idea for the game that would easily fit the current state. A wandering trader, this npc would appear at random outposts and islands offering you slightly discounted prices for clothes, weapons and equipment and you could tell he is there by his small ship. A new set of cosmetics will be unlock able by completing voyages for him. And in the end you can unlock his jacket and his ship hull
