Man I'm looking forward to seeing this one fly...as usual, you're changing things that need to be changed and doing it right !

Putting in the hours. Video makes it seem like a wham bam, but we know better. Nice work Brent, cool to see what you do with the flap hinges. AirHammer out!!

I have 2 top rc P-51s currently flying and another one new in the box. I had to do extensive work to beef up the wing saddle and stiffen up the fuselage and firewall. Is your Corsair fuselage really flimsy aft of the canopy too? After I did these mods they fly really awesome. Good luck with your project Brent.

Currently working on mine. It is the exact same color scheme with the new carbon fiber center section. I have it mounted the cowl Yet, but usually that’s the last thing I do. Mine will have a DA 85. One modification I always do on my Warbirds having a separate steering servo. So my actual rudder servo uses a push rod to the rudder tiller. I also made my own 3/16 torque connection to the rudder. It is such a big fin, and I got burned on the top flight 440 size torque rod. I also have those thousand dollar retracts, and was wondering if you would talk a little more about that. Especially the connection and extensions to the main gear. The instructions for these gear are terrible as usual! I have also decided mine will go dark blue also and in the delivery of Sky Boss. February 2023 I picked up a Ziroli F4U, with a precision cut wing, stabilizer, and rudder, and Fiberglass fuselage. It took all year to build and weighed over 50 pounds. Check out lomshivok1’s videos 2024 on KZbin. Unfortunately, this particular warbird only lasted 3 3/4 flights. And that is why I got mine on sale just like you.😊

Yeah i canged the arm setup on the rudder. I felt the wire was strong enough but the arm was tiny. So i added a bigger one to the stock arm. On the gear you can use regular servo extensions. The tail wheel works in reverse...so simply plug into the controller "backwards" amd it will function properly. That sounds scary...but it worked for me.

@ 👍 thanks for the comeback. Gator RC I totally recommend, they gave me a good price on a new landing gear controller. Somehow I managed to burn mine up! About 10 years ago, I started using gyros. My first ones were the small single axis Futaba GY 430s and 430 ones. After Flex innovations started up their operation in America I switched to the aura. I had had a few unexplainable rolls and pitch down on two of my airplanes. I don’t think they could handle the vibrations of large Warbirds. I have never had a problem with the aura eight original design. However, I do have two Warbirds that use the aura pro. I am thinking that I will add some spray foam on the inside of the glass fuselage from the pilot floor tray back 10 or 12 inches towards the tail. I have heard talk at certain RPMs and vibrates. Well, good talking to you and I must say you do fly very smoothly NWR

"once i paint this thing blue." but why would you ruin arguably the best livery for a corsair???

Because i just dont care for this scheme. I got it because it was on sale lolol. I dont mind it. Its just not what i see when i think about a f4u
