I was curious about the weight as well. Perhaps later you can let us know if there seems to be much of a difference in overall weight and if the CG was affected. It sure looks marvelous, and I'll bet it will have a great presence flying !

i have an 88 inch spitfire and wheel mounts are always moving around..... what a nice build and great paint work to make a very original model...super cool and some good landings. Landings are the addictive part of the flying of these big boys....for me i always make sure i have a good approach and not a last minute turn into the approach...only do this when you really know your model. Know how slow your plane flies with flaps on and do this up at a safe speed and try to get the point when it does not respond or close to the stall as this is kinda what you need to understand and know when you do make great landings. For me i get the approach tight with flaps and slightly more power on once comitted to the approach and when putting flaps on i make sure i am descending then try very hard to slowly come down and getting a nice flat slow touchdown gently pushing the elevator forward as the plane will naturally go back on its tail creating lift at the time u dont want it....once it has nailed the landing you can also power up a bit for good landing control when it has been level flown onto the ground rather then flopping it onto the ground nose up which can also be done but not for me. Unless you draw out an imaginary landing path and curve in your head before attempting landing i really dont think it can ever be anything other than hit and miss.... not trying to tell you how to suck eggs but just my thoughts on landings..... apologies for a long comment but its the big attraction of heavy fixed wing.
