Everyone has their reasons for why they lather certain ways. I do both face/head lather and bowl lather. Lately I've been face lathering more just because I like the way it feels when I do it. I hydrate with my mister which is amazing!! Great video.

Great video Jon. I enjoy both face and bowl lathering. I have a kill soap because I enjoy getting to know a soap and I tub load it. But my other soaps i scoop and bowl lather because I’m. It sure when I will be back to visit them and I like the look of a scooped soap better. Stay safe

I use a bowl to lather because I am not in the practice of introducing water to my soap jars. Some of these soaps are just too expensive and I always have feared that they would be ruined by direct exposure to water.

Jon - you should check out a Brush Scuttle, less counter space needed, and it will keep your brush warm between passes, whether you bowl or face lather ;-). Great video and good topic!!

Awesome vid man! Really informative and a few things in there I hadn't considered. Thanks for the quote! I actually enjoy a good face lather too. Just depends on my mood and which brush I'm using (bowl lathering seems to me a waste of a good quality badger knot tbh).

I bowl lather when shaving my face, but head lather when shaving my dome. Not sure why I do it that way, but it seems to work for me.
