My 13 year olds hair has broken off, her length is gone. I mistakenly allowed her to do her own hair and I believe over time she has broken it off not following my instructions. I am taking over her hair care from this point on. I think her hair needs a break from constant styling. Are box braids a good protective option? We have very fine hair and it grows slowly. Braids have been my go to, to grow my hair. I am careful however of what kind of braids though. The wrong kind just causes more breakage.

Guilty😢 My 9 year old hates to get her hair done so I would put box braids to avoid touching it. But each time just gets worse and now she had a lot of breakage from the last install. I really want to get my baby hair on track. What products do you recommend as far as hair vitamins oils, etc.

Hi. Thanks for the info. Does this apply to white, straight, fine hair? She has never had issues till last week. We brushed her hair. No tangles but half her hair just came out. My older daughter started crying cause it scared her. We don't over wash but use detangler often.

Thanks for the info! I believe I need to remoisturize in between wash days. I noticed recently her edges are breaking and I'm not using bands. What about hair bonnets? Can that cause breakage on edges? Do you have a recommendation on which hair bonnets are best?
