Top Rope Solo Setup

My set up for TR soloing. This video is kind of all over the place and I repeat myself/leave some things out, as it wasn’t scripted I just started filming at the crag. This is a combination of two popular soloing methods, but IMO safer and more redundant. I am very open to feedback, as I came up with this method myself (I think) using my knowledge of gear, fall factors, and trial and error. This is so far the most efficient way I’ve found where I still feel adequately protected.
Gear required:
• Rope
• Slings and carabiners for your anchor
• Micro traxion/nano traxion
• grigri
• 30cm sling to extend nanotrax

Why use a clove hitch at the anchor instead of a figure eight or something else?

No reason other than the clove is easy and super good enough

what if you had a backpack or something attached to the end of the gri gri rope to automatically feed that

It doesn’t work super well, you still have to pull some through yourself and the extra weight makes that more annoying
