Personally, I think both our good. Top Secret can do tricks very well, while the Blue Devils are very precise and nice sounding.

@Caleb They also aren't DCI. They perform mainly to please people, and not as a competition. They also have social lives that they work on and do this more as a fun opportunity on their off time.While it is true that they are not as good as DCI drumlines, they are good in their own ways. (Also realize I said: "Personally", meaning it is my opinion.)

@Caleb Yes, they perform to please, but they also do it for the competition. And they also don't do an entire summer to practice unlike DCI. As I said, T.S. has lives, and they only really practice in afternoons I believe. Yes, T.S. is not as good as them, and I even said that (agreeing with you) that they are not better than DCI, no where close to being better. But they are still good in their own ways. Say what you want, but I'm not replying to an internet troll like you who can't take someone's opinion as their own. Where you have to shove your opinion into them. (Also, I am 16, and I'm taking lessons. I plan to march Legends in the next couple years, so yes I know what I'm talking about). So yes, T.S. is not as good, but they are still good in their own ways. And that's MY opinion.

​@Caleb I mean, people who march DCI don't have a "life" during the season since they legitimately have to be on a schedule 24/7. So in terms of having a life that doesn't stand by a schedule whatsoever, they don't have a life. People from my school graduated and marched BD and SCV and yeah their entire "life" is practicing, training, and conditioning. Our battery captain who is a junior made SCV 2020 (sucks cuz it's canceled) but for a whole year, he devoted his life to practicing under previous SCV section leaders.

I’m not a drummer or do I know anything about it but I love TS and how they play. I watched the movie drum line and then started to KZbin drum lines.. my favourite drum line is hands down TS.. I would actually pay and go watch them if they came to Australia 🇦🇺

This kind of seems like a modern versus traditional drumline due to the lack of modern stick tricks, modern equipment, and marching quads which weren't a thing until the early 80's/late 70's anyway. But they both are equally good, just one has adopted a more modern style under a fairly similar budget

How long do you train for something like this? And how heavy are these Drums?

The snare drums I would guess are about 10 to 15 pounds? Both groups practiced together for just a few days before we started performing! If you look around you'll find a video of the first practice we had together. One of the coolest moments ever in my drumming career.

I hate to say this, but top secret has got bd beat. BD might have some tighter grooves, but top secret has got bd outdone in showmanship and tricks, and that’s what most non-musical people come to see.

This is hysterical! You are showing how little you know about percussion if any. Top Secret is ALL tricks and no rudimental vocabulary hardly at all. When BD plays by themsevles, it's super impressive content, then when T.S. joins in and they are all together, it is very elementary. People are so easily fooled into thinking tricks equals good drumming. I'll take great rudimental vocab over tricks any day. Great rudimental drumming takes far more practice and talent. Now...bring on all the haters. Because I know it's coming. But I speak the truth. From a percussionist of 23 years, I'm telling you, BD killed TS from a drumming standpoint, not a popcorn eater standpoint like you and everyone else that "thinks" TS is so amazing.
