@deh73354 жыл бұрын
@Nick does Quad drumming I work on the recording end of things. We have click tracks we play for drummers and others in studio used to set and maintain a perfect tempo. These tempos are in beats per minute. I have worked with quite a few drummers that can accurately tap almost any beat per minute I request without needing to hear a click track first. You may have been taught different highschool drummer. Most professionals understand that tempo is time and Internationally time is measured in seconds minutes hours days years centuries ect.

@flarfatron21904 жыл бұрын
@Jeff Parker, well you clearly know next to nothing about drumlines/ percussion, because if you did, you’d know that the blue devils memorize 12 minutes of choreography, extremely difficult music, and play clean. Imagine if these dudes trained like DCI drumlines they would crush most of them! lol
@TopDrumCorps2 жыл бұрын
@@eddieperez7034 dci lines do it for passion as well!! They do compete against other drumlines yes but that doesn’t mean there isn’t passion. I’d say there is even more. I feel bad for the Swiss drummers because they don’t have access to what we have in the USA drumline/ marching band wise. DCI lines practice 10-12 hours a day for 2-2.5 months straight and go on a grueling tour. They even pay thousands to do it!! All of that to do what they love, be a part of a something bigger than themselves as well as knowing you are among the best at what you do in the world. I’m not really hating on the Swiss too much, more so hating on the people surrounding the videos. Almost doesn’t count, they don’t compete nor practice as much like DCI does nor will they ever. If you want to see top secret equivalent watch WGI. Those drumlines only practice on weekends just like top secret yet they are still leagues above.

I personally think This Drum corps is awesome, as a dci fan. When people compare this group to DCI of course there are major differences. First off this corps is filled with individuals who do this year round... on top of work and school. DCI corps have more time to practice and fine tune because they have weekend long camps before having a month of 10-14 hour practices before going on tour where every other moment is spent working on music for 12-14 hours a day. and this is from May to August. It also helps to know that this corps doesn't compete as much as DCI groups. So for this group to be able to do what it does and can mess up and make it look normal, is very amazing to me. So stop going around saying this group is bad.

How about wgi groups though? I could compare rhythm x’s snareline to scvs any day and they go through work and school and only play from auditions I’m September-Mid April, with full weekends usually starting in November. I will say, I’m ignorant and do not know how much they practice, but if it’s all year round they should compare better to wgi groups because of the lessened amount of time the performers have to learn the beats and get better.
@liveforone4 жыл бұрын
@@notimpressedbyyourm4932 my opinions have generally changed on the issue. I've learned though that Europe doesn't really take marching band and music in the same style Americans do. I do think they could be better though they haven't been in my eyes as good as they once were.
