I tried Portrait of a Lady after one of your previous videos....I fell in love with it. Whenever I wear it, I get stopped by men and women asking what I'm wearing. I put it on recently around 7 a.m. - went to the pharmacy at 3:30 pm and got stopped twice. I was so surprised that anyone could smell it after 8+ hours. And I only spritz myself in the morning. I'm finding that anything with Patchouli I gravitate towards. I'm going to try your Chanel Deauville recommendation. Thank you!!

I have synesthesia and I love the colorful way you describe scents. I struggle sometimes to help someone understand what I mean by a "yellow" or "blue" scent and you would understand me immediately. This is such a fun video!

I am OBSESSED with Tom Ford Tobacco & Vanille and I've never smoked a cigarette in my life (your story cracked me up😆). When I was little, my grandpa smoked a pipe for awhile and he would use this cherry tobacco. He always left the pouch on the kitchen counter and I would open and inhale it. I loved the smell so much and now when I wear this perfume I think of him. It's such a gorgeous and intoxicating fragrance. I would encourage anyone to try it! I am SO GLAD you did this because I just joined Scentbird to start trying out some of these new fragrances you've been peaking my interest with. Just added the harmonist for next month😈 my first month I got the Rag&Bone Oddity fragrance and I actually think you'd like it. It's SO different from anything I've smelled as a fragrance and it's unisex. The notes are black pepper, licorice, leather, vetiver and vanilla bean. HEAVY on the black pepper and definitely get a licorice scent which isn't my favorite but it grew on me. Definitely a one and done kind of fragrance.

Ah Michele, I'm a long-time fragrance enthusiast and I have to tell you, it's been so fun watching you get into fragrance and sharing your experiences with us! I love your fragrance videos! I had to think really hard .... but right now, I think these would be my top shelf: Kilian Amber Oud (sadly discontinued), Guerlain Santal Royal, YSL Cuir, Eris Mx, Memo Quartier Latin, Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan, Tauer Perfumes Phi: Une Rose de Khandehar, L'Occitane Labdanum (also sadly discontinued), Hermes Osmanthe Yunnan, and Fort & Manle Mr. Bojnokopff's Purple Hat. My hubs and I share TF Tobacco Vanille and Kilian Black Phantom (and Fort & Manle Forty Thieves and Arquiste Nanban, which we layered for our elopement). Based on your list, I think you would like Tauer Phi! It is really well blended with a lot going on, but it has blond tobacco and rose in the mix. I also think you might like like trying Santal Royal (rose oud) and YSL Cuir (suede). I haven't liked much from Harmonist that I've tried but I'm going to find a sample of Hypnotizing Fire because it sounds amazing, and maybe I'll give PoaL a go again. Happy Mishmas! 😁

One of my first subscriptions I loved here on KZbin was the channel: Katie Puckrik Smells. I think she still has some content up even though it's over a decade old. She is very interesting, funny and in depth. I find fragrance to be such a story about the individual. It's also quite personal and dear. My favorites have mostly been discontinued. I love meeting people who enjoy scent as much as I do, and imagine my collection would be endless if I ever caught a windfall. 🥰 Thanks for sharing Michele. Oh, I love Katie’s descriptions too, I wish she still made content. I bought two fragrances right off the back of her reviews, and I love them dearly- TF Neroli Portofino & Bvlgari Omnia. I love perfume...it speaks of the soul in so many ways. I enjoy orientals, greens, floral..earthy..so many layers. I am partial at the moment to Lancome La Vie Est Belle. I have a small bottle of spiritual sky oil from 1981 ( I know...) that that was bought for me in England and it smells like fresh cut grass - the beauty of oil is that it wont spoil. MissButters little face just melts my heart. What a sweetie. I've really gone down the fragrance rabbit hole this year. I found 2 TF fragrances I like - Lost Cherry and Tobacco Vanille. I hated, with a capital H, the Neroli Portifinos. They made me instantly ill LOL My favs at the moment are BDK Velvet Tonka, Mancera Choco Violette, Annik Goutal Nuit et Confidences, and Tom Ford Metalique. I look forward to Mishmas every day. I get asked ALL the time what I'm wearing and my BFF bought me an engraved bottle for Christmas with a crown and it has a tutu that goes over the lid. I was shocked and so pleased! I saw the Diptyque advent calendar and thought of you. I love Tao Dam that I had purchased months ago but it was gone in 5 minutes on me. That fragrance was fleeting So I returned it. I’ve been eye on the Chanel fragrance you picked up. Been wanting to try something different. My go to scents for winter is Coco Chanel Noir and Coco Chanel. I’m looking for a third Chanel to complete my Chanel fragrances collection. Also own JM velvet rose and Oud and Myrrh and Tonka. Fragrance intrigues me. I am especially curious about MEMO Paris Sicilian Leather. My current favorites are the Baccarat Rouge 540, Skyler Pink Canyons, and Le Labo Santal. Many of the Tom Ford are too strong for me, haven't loved them and I have a few. I tend to gravitate toward sweeter fragrances as they remind me of my teenage years. I'm going to buy Pulp and am deciding between Creed Aventus and Creed Virgin Island Water. I just love your vivid descriptions.
