Britain's Got Talent 2024 auditions (BGT 2024) is underway and it’s on FIRE! A Remarkable array of talents that rival America's Got Talent (AGT) in its diversity and creativity. Some of these acts were so good I actually applauded... in my own home with no one around. Some were so impressive they brought tears to my eyes. KUDOS. Some however I found myself thinking, okay... another piano player who can play really fast... or another guitar shredder. Yawwwwn. I could tell some of the judges felt exactly the same way. 'Cos when I watch these shows what I watch for is something different, something that stands out and makes them unique. About a zillion people can shred a guitar or play a piano. But how many of them have that "star quality"? It's not enough just to play an instrument. We're not here to watch yet another robot performance no matter how skilled. We're here to witness the next star. Others... while I enjoyed the performance I felt, "Okay, that was interesting... once." But could their talent could carry a life-long career? Doubtful. But to those who were TRULY talented, my hat's off to ya. Splendid job.
