I think i've seen one track video from him, the rest are just him going fast on a highway lol. On mountain roads or a proper track, the 1290r would easily keep up with any R1 or Fireblade, with the exception of suuuper long straights. But most street liter bike riders will never see a track in their life anyway.

Nice. Fastest I’ve gone on my 2021 SDR is 170 mph (274 kph). Nice to know I can still push it faster. Cornering at 260 kph (roughly 157 mph) is crazy work tho. It’s one thing going 300 kph in a straight line. Takes another level of skill to navigate a corner going 250+. I’ve never tracked my bike so I’d never do that in the street. Fastest I’ve ever gone in a corner was probably about 120 mph (200 kph), and that’s all I’m comfortable doing even in a wide turn.
