Not until they talk to single parent, high schoolers and colleges students and others trying to live on less than $20 hour. Asking the business owner that question, ok fine. But he isn’t doing it so he doesn’t know. Go poll his workers and ask , how hard is it to work at current rate and make ends meet? What would $20 hour mean to you and family? You won’t get the responses this business man gave! Then I will say fair / balanced. Don’t ask me to come. I am NOT working for less than $20, even though working, and retired. :/

Too bad. This owner wants low prices to bring customers on the back of the people who work there! If your food: product does not work at an increased price, someone else will have one that does. No. First job doesn’t cut it. A job is a job and an hour is an hour. Thanks for asking the question how people can live on lower wages? But better yet. Have a person or two on who has been trying to live on less! Invite the other side. This owner can go to Texas or Florida and see if the wage rate and food sells there. He admits not all wages even going up to $20 now! Sorry. People need a fat wage even if students, college or highschool. Min wages do not and cannot stay at 1% past increases as they have been. Asking people to work for less than housekeepers in your home are charging, at least $20 and more like $25 or more now. Is mean and ridiculous. Other RED states value business and profit for biz far above individual workers. California doesn’t happen to be one of them. Business gets to tax their buildings here at the same value as my tiny cottage. They get break after break! It is time the workers got a break. He says he pays fair, but now he has to pay what the government says is fair, not what he is comfortable paying. Elon Musk moved mostly out of California. Space X sonic booms show not completely. We don’t miss Elon. Or other companies that go chase bigger profits elsewhere. Not this speaker, but lots of businesses have 2 to 3 cars, big houses or second home, travel abroad every year. And really big biz have luxury boats, and billions. Enough, fair pay and living wage. None of this business are trying to live on their salary there? No college students no longer at home, no single parents? Seriously, if not, that isn’t anything to be proud of!!!
