I don't know why the news is only showing part of the video but in the full video you can see that they were walking down a path that people are allowed to walk on, and the bison charged them from a distance away, stopped near them and then charge them again. The news is only showing the second charge. Making it look like the family was just standing there right next to a bison when that's not what was happening. Imagine how traumatizing that must be to go through with your kid and then have the entire internet calling you a bad parent because the news is misrepresenting what happened. Ugh

Pilots need to have reasonable hours. They need plenty of time off. And the United States needs a better mode of transportation. High speed electric trains coast to coast. They should be safe and comfortable, affordable, and convenient. Flying is becoming too expensive, uncomfortable, dangerous, and inconvenient. Trains can carry more people for less money. Competition could ease some demands on the airlines.

They didn't approach it. The news is only showing half the clip. The first half you can clearly see the family is on a designated walkway and the bison is quite far away. It then runs up to them stands there for a moment and then charges them again. I don't know why the news is making this out to be a situation where they walked up to the bison but that's literally not what happened.
