So fun fact about me, I’ve been in two self-defense shooting’s, and in both occasions, well obviously I was armed, but both suspects pointed the weapons at me. Did you hear that? You do not open your door with a gun in your hand when there is an armed sherrif standing outside. This just defies common sense!!! I am a 12 year female Air Force Veteran. And what I am saying is exactly what I would have done. Do your due diligence and ask for identification before opening the door! And before you open that door, knowing there is an armed sherrif standing outside, put the gun away!! It was also reported the gun the victim had was illegally obtained! What a fricking mess!! I believe the sherrif is African-American too, which is why the race card isn't being played.

That officer sure as heck better hope he responded to the right apartment. Also, being killed inside your own residence by an officer who is supposed to deescalate the situation is suspect. Because of his actions, a family is destroyed and a young U.S. Airforce Airman lost his life while the officer gets to go home.
