I'm really impressed with the mothers ability to stay cool when her daughter was being locked in freezer....I completely broke protocol when my Sister called as I was training to answers 911 calls. She calls & her brother answers "This is your brother what's wrong" 😅 She didn't expect me to answer any more than I expected to get a call from family on my 1st day training, luckily I was able to ride with the officer dispatched.

Someone please explain to me how interest rates help with the price of groceries? People don't borrow money to buy groceries & if they do put it on credit they have to eat no matter how high the interest rates are.
@rolandthethompsongunner642 жыл бұрын
Apparently they do borrow to pay for groceries as per our credit card debt 😂

If you call 911 the operator should have the ability to know your address. What a major problem. Children especially may not know their address. As well as someone being held hostage or kidnapped.

Per Tom's report there will be massive credit card defaults. Families are living on credit for food and fuel. Keep in mind the card debt is used by lenders to back bonds sold to investors: in same way bad home loans were used in the 2008 crash. Tom is correct to sound the alarm on this.

I’m not so sure. But it’s certainly alarming indeed.

@@fayecoldren-sallee5864 But why do we need to pay it at all with all of the jobs that are available? Why can't people figure this out?

Because we (employees) and employers pay into unemployment insurance for that express purpose. If you didn't get laid off through COVID that's great congratulations! My job did a furlough, which meant we all still kept our jobs but the company wasn't running for 6 weeks.

To put the majority of Americans' credit addiction in perspective, for them, not for the big money financial folks who absolutely love it, if you have $10k in credit card debt, in interest you're paying enough to buy a Playstation every month, finance a Mercedes, go on an awesome vacation to Disneyworld or Hawaii, or travel abroad and live like royalty for a bit. You are denying yourself so many great experiences for your life and pure joy. And for the economy in general what we need to do is take the credit cards out of our wallets, for 'a while,' put them someplace we actually going to forget where we left them, and live cash and carry. And at the end of that exercise you're going to realize how insane it is to pay interest to buy gas, food, and even minor luxuries when you could have put a bit at a time in a gift card balance and bought those things outright at zero interest. And why would big businesses like Amazon and such actually prefer this, and should incentivize it? Because they can make hundreds of millions of dollars per day in interest on things like gift card balances they are hanging onto in their own accounts rather than paying a percentage on each credit purchase. What will be the effect of that? Things will get cheaper. It's a grassroots idea for ending inflation.
